Take Vanderbilt and UGA off list.

Vandy just spent their wad on the hs qb and stockton is ugas qb where is he going?.
 
So is the Cal QB truly off the table? Cinci fell apart in November. ... Any of that Sorsby's fault or were they just not talented enough? 11 for 33 vs Utah has me nervous. I know it's less popular since we destroyed NCS, but barring JKS falling in our lap, I would just sign Bailey on portal Day 1 at midnight. I think he could run the operation effectively behind our OL with our WRs

Seems he was off that game but threw some dimes that were dropped also.. Utah was bringing the heat and Cincy beat them deep a couple times but then OC fell for low percentage trap and they couldnt complete enough of them to make them pay for pressure while wr dropped some also..

Bailey will need to learn to throw more to WRs. Both years at NCS the TE was the leading reception leader. Throwing to TEs is not high priority in Dawson offense

I thought Stockton was a Senior. Not sure Vandy hands the keys to a top 15 team to a True freshmen. we will see in 4 weeks
 
Leavitt and Sorsby would be the first two guys I’d go after NOW. Give it your best shot. If after a few days you get the sense you’re running second with both, quickly pivot to Bailey or another option. You cannot wait and drag this along as the Plan 1B types will have suitors. And, somebody like Bailey will not take kindly to feeling like a backup option (again).

Didn't Sorby transfer out of Indiana? Would be weird if he went back.

Need to go all out for him.

Just a hunch, and not saying i like him, but if we cant get Sorsby, I have a feeling Mario will go after Raiola.
 
Yea but Cignetti is the absolute Belle of the Ball right now after the Mendoza year. He’s going to get likely first pick if their NIL is in order. I doubt Mendoza was more than $750k so can they make that change to say $3.5-4m?

I agree it would be weird but not unprecedented.

If you were Sorsby, would you play for Cignetti or Dawson?

I like Coach Dawson and he is building quite the resume with Portal QBs, but I’d play in that Indy offense with Cignetti.

I just found out that Sorsby and Cignetti didnt overlap, so that would be less weird.

However, if you compare the two offenses, very similar from a passing production standpoint.

Each will have produced a first round QB. Beck has more passing yards this season, Mendoza more passing tds.

Miami can pay more NIL for sure and its located in Miami and not Indiana.

Cig is having a great run, but im not sure Indiana is a better destination for a Portal qb than Miami, despite their success this year.

Leavitt and that Lisfranc tear is a gamble and won’t be throwing significantly in spring.

The cal kid is a unique talent imo but from what people that have followed his situation it appears like he ain’t going anywhere.

The north Texas kid is the dude I’ve been saying is the truth and available. But in his interviews seems a little quiet. But those sides can turn k to assassins when the game starts.
But him having 3 more years might make it uncomfortable in the room with qb recruits.

Idk if any p4 kid is what we are really looking at. It wouldn’t surprise me if we go the g5 route.

I've seen a bunch of people saying Mestamaker is following his coach to Oakie St. Is there anything actually behind this, or just people speculating? Seems like he checks a lot of the boxes that Manny and Dawson like in a QB, aside from being very inexperienced.

IMO yes. Kid seems to love the environment and Im sure he has some sorta relationship with Lupoi given that he flipped between Cal & Oregon for the whole recruiting process. Lupoi has the poly connects

I could understand him following his coach to okstate because he seems like he would be loyal to him.

But he needs to recognize that ok state is just that, ok state.
Unless his coach is gonna pull a Cignetti (which is doubtful) he needs to think of what being a qb at Miami after a playoff run with the talent we have an are getting will do to his future.
Not to mention the protection he will get with our qb.
