Committee has already delegitimized the process. You can't leave the SEC out unless everyone has two losses. It would delegitimize the playoffs all together. UGA is going to beat the breaks off of FSU and this conversation will be over.
Here is what a lot of dopey "oh, but an injured QB should be the sole factor for knocking F$U out" don't comprehend. YOU IGNORE THE WORDS "OTHERWISE COMPARABLE".
Here's the thing. Liberty and F$U are not "otherwise comparable". F$U and Alabama are not "otherwise comparable".
If any of the nitwit brigade had listened to Boo carrying water for this outrageous decision, you would have heard that MICHIGAN, WASHINGTON, AND TEXAS were considered in a different group. Those were the teams that were "definitely in", and then the CFP Committee had to discuss "F$U vs. Alabama". And THAT is where the flaw is.
Because the "otherwise comparable" teams are undefeated conference champions, such as Michigan, Washington, and FSU.
Then AND ONLY THEN is it time to take the other criteria into account for determining who gets the fourth spot between Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio Taint.
CLEARLY, Texas and Alabama outrank Georgia and Ohio Taint BY WINNING THE CONFERENCE. OK, then the next logical differentiator between Texas and Alabama is head-to-head. Texas. End of discussion.
That's what the "Committee got it right" crowd is missing. That the "criteria" are not stated as absolutes. The "criteria" are supposed to be used to distinguish between "otherwise comparable" teams.
And there can be TIERS of "otherwise comparable" teams. There simply NOT SEVEN "otherwise comparable teams". There are THREE "otherwise comparable teams", and then there are FOUR "otherwise comparable teams".
And NONE of the "Committee got it right" morons can point out where it says "oh, but we should toss everything out if we THINK a team will lose by a wide margin". That is NOT for them to decide.
Here it is, deniers. "Otherwise comparable teams". THAT is when you start to use the distinguishing process. And we had TWO groups of teams, the undefeated Power 5 conference champions (three teams) and the one-loss teams. It's just that simple. AND it's what the policy says. And it's what the committee ACTUALLY DID, by determining "three teams that were definitely in" and then having a differentiation process for the 4th slot. THAT IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Just...you know...with the wrong team in the Top 3.

Was the ACC ****ed in 2014, 2016, and 2018?
I don't think FSU is a top 4 team but they were an undefeated conference championship. The ACC needs to show they are not just a Carolina conference or they risk the conference falling apart. The ACC must go full nuclear and in the public or else the ACC is done as a conference. This is going to be fun to watch.
yall keep saying this.....It's not the first time the committee has picked potential over the actual result that occurred on the field.
However, I'm having a hard time disagreeing with the decision. I can see why and where it comes from.
My Top 4 was Michigan, Washington, FSU and then Bama. I didn't expect them to drop FSU, I expected Bama to be more of a toss-up.
FSU is gonna get trounced by an angry Georgia team and we'll stop having this conversation.

CFP Anger Index: Unpacking the outrage of Florida State's snub
Breaking down FSU's snub and the other teams that got the short end of the stick from the CFP committee.www.espn.com
Also:
if FSU v Georgia will be a good matchup, then why wouldn’t FSU v Michigan be a good matchup since Georgia was ranked higher than Michigan 3 days ago.
If Alabama was about the eye test, why did the eye test have them ranked 8th ahead of the weekend..
yall keep saying this.....
NO ONE GIVES A SH*T ABOUT THAT GAME AT ALL. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CFP.
im trying to understand why Ohio state wasnt ranked above fsu or even uga?. What was the issue there especially with no qb and all right?.

here's the problem
it won't happen.. but if it does
If FSU beats UGA, who's going to tell them they aren't national champions?
100% at some point "the right 12" didn't get selected will be brought up.can't wait for this argument to shift from it's original top 2, to that isn't working, we should do 4 to settle it, to we are going to move to 12.....
Next year, we will be *****ing about 13 not getting a shot.

Get to NFL conferences and divisions and be done with it.
