The 2nd Bye week

I have watched UL enough to know, they shouldn't be a challenge at all. We will shut Brown down and Moss is getting worse instead of better. Brohm and Brown is all they have. Moss isn't playing well. Their OL isn't good. Their D isn't good. This should be a blowout.

I don’t think their defense is terrible, and they’re certainly a well-coached team, but their offense is fraudulent and inefficient from what I’ve seen.

I want to see a nice 3 possession win here.

Remember when we would play GT and the triple option **** it would be hard to recalibrate to a normal offense the next week?

College football gets so crazy because styles make fights and facing a very capable offense 180 degree different than the week before is a trouble spot

I’ll probably be saying I despise it again when it’s November but suddenly it looks like a good opportunity especially for the defense

The Canes consistently play with the sort of violence rarely seen in modern day College Footbal with its greater emphasis on player safety.

It's like Joe Louis' trainer once said and Mike Tyson famously said:

Everybody's got a plan til he gets punched in the face

I think most of us here don’t like it. The pressure it puts on us in November etc etc I’m looking at it a little bit differently now. I still don’t like it but could actually be a blessing

A road game where our defense faced what felt like 100 plays

Playing against that trash *** excuse for football with Malzahn and Castellanos to now have to turn around and play Brohm and a completely different offense

yes. They ran something like 82 plays. Miami ran like 52
The defense was on the field alot the second half...

Read my mind my friend. 77 snaps from Bain and Mesidor in this game is literally superhuman stuff

I think we should start looking at the smu game as a possible tough one. Canes will be about -11 or so. Road game in an unfamiliar place.

I haven’t seen smu play this year but Lashlee is a good coach and they have some athletes.

Good thing is we can drop one and still be an at large playoff team with the gauntlet we just went through. But I want 12-0.
Another running, very mobile QB who has a better arm than Castellano
He also tends to make bad decisions when stressed

At first I didn't like it, but we need it. The first 5 games have been a pressure cooker for various reasons. The opposition has been filled with in-state teams, hyped opponents, ranked opponents, and our archrival away. We are probably more banged up than we think, but still relatively healthy. Let's get healed, re-focused, and ready to take on Louisville, who I think is the best remaining team on the schedule (I didn't say the most difficult game, but the best team).

TrumpyCane was going to post the same thing

Defense was starting to get beat up last night and a few guys were dropping

When Moten went down, I honestly worried our season was on the line. We are way too thin at DT. Scott is not there yet, and Simson is far from there yet.

I think Scott is playing injured. He made some huge plays against ND but hasn’t looked right since imo

Not trying to spread rumors but I think he’s banged up

There will be nothing cruise control about playing Pitt in the cold on November 29th the way their true freshman QB looked yesterday in his first start. I'll go on record that will be the toughest game left. Could easily be a 2017 type Pitt-Miami trap if we don't bring our A-game.
I think our C game of just leaning on inferior teams will be enough. Pitt stinks.
