Pretty talented group:

Stephen Morris- Jaguars practice squad, finished the season on active roster
Duke Johnson- 3rd round
Clive Walford- 3rd round
Phillip Dorsett- 1st round
Allen Hurns- Leading receiver for Jaguars as a rookie
Ereck Flowers- 1st round
Jon Feliciano- 4th round
Shane McDermott- First-team All ACC
Brandon Linder- Day 1 starter for Jaguars
Seantrel Henderson- Day 1 starter for Bills

33rd in the Country on Offense. Not bad, but definitely underperformed. What really stuck was how mentally fragile they were. Seems like they were always on the verge of breaking down...just barely keeping it together. That FSU loss unraveled the mess. The 66th ranked defense didn't help either

Mentally unprepared to success IMHO!

that's a good way to put it. How many come-from-behind games did we win? Rallying for the win is usually good, but in our case it demonstrated playing down to inferior teams' talent levels. That is mental weakness and low self-esteem, and comes straight from the top. Put your foot on the pedal and blow out inferior teams, or get so far ahead you can let your backups play in the 4th quarter.

Coaching obviously is the reason we have been down.

Also quarterback play. A team only goes as far as a quarterback takes them. Wright didn't have it. Jacory didn't have it. Morris didn't have it and Kaaya shouldn't have played a down last season as a true freshman. His experience will help us moving forward, but it really made last season a waste.

Kaaya had the best QB rating in the ACC, him playing didn't waste last season.

And Stacy coley was great that year. Constantly underachieving = Miami Hurricanes

I was under the impression that for the last 4 years we've had an incredible lack of talent.

Basically the entire starting offense is in the NFL now... Including half the team drafted in the first four rounds.

No talent my ***

Bunche is in Philadelphia.
Wheeler is in Seattle.
Asante Cleveland in San Francisco.

Impossible to make the lack of talent argument with what has come to fruition. That ship has sailed. Win or GTFO

So what's it going to take for Miami to win then?

Its obviously not the talent. Look at the 2013 and 2014 rosters.

THE SCHEDULE ALSO SUCKED ****.

What's left here? What variable are we forgetting about that is keeping Miami down as an also-ran ACC team?

If you listen to Golden . . . and he's already started making excuses for another **** poor season since he lost so many experienced players.

Like exactly what he's done since he got here.

Nope Nope Nope

Unpossible

I was told we had no talent that year outside of Duke and Perryman

According to some of the geniuses on this site, you can't count Duke either, because he loses every game with a fumble. Nevermind the fact that Abdullah who was drafted ahead of him had some absurd number of fumbles himself.

Let's see what Coley can do now, we have brought in some very good recruiters to the program. Maybe with what looks like, added focus for him on strategy he can get it done!!! not holding my breathe, but one can hope!

Miami have never and will never have a talent problem. Been saying it since day one. Coker, Shannon, Golden. There lies the problem..... Period

it is simply horrible coaching. I still cant believe Al Golden is still employed at the University of Miami
