The # 1 Problem with UM football from 2003 to present

I meant luck in hiring Dabo. It’s not like he had a great resume and the administration broke the bank for him.
Gotcha. And I would entirely agree with that. Dabo wasn't exactly a hot commodity at the time he took the HC job at Clemson and, if I remember correctly, had no HC experience (at least not at a major program). He was basically an unknown quantity and Clemson struck gold.

Richt got a lot of money for himself and his staff. Some of this is just luck. Look at Clemson and Dabo.
Money matters, but young coaches want to hitch their career to rising stars and established winners. We have not offered that in decades. Not randy, not gluten, not richt, not diaz.

The biggest problem is that none of our coaches from 2003-2018 are currently employed as head coaches.

The only one who even got another head coaching job was Coker at UTSA. And he had a title on his resume.

Could that be because they were getting paid by Miami so long as they didn't take another HC job?

If coach is the always problem. how did Larry Coker win NC and next yr play for another and then the next year beat UF and FSU ?

If you have a good oline it makes everyone else on o look better. See how Jonathon Taylor does being our line. Kyle wright may have looked like a 5vstar if he had a line. Kayaa may have been the next Dorsey behind a good line. It changes everything. It has also been the demise if Fsu except they are addressing it somewhat with scheme.
That Oline had Eric Winston and Reshad Butler. Wright just sucked at QB.

There are many factors but our offensive line has been consistently poor since 2001. And when you see Alabama, Clemson, OSU, with new QBs, new coordinators, news schemes... still win.. You have to question why. The one commonality of all those schools is OL. Alabama has a coaching carousel yet they still dominate the line of scrimmage.

Dominant OL is an absolute constant among the top programs.
Those teams have everything. Good coaches, good administration support, lots of boosters, access to top talent, great facilities. As for bama, saban nows how to pick good coaches so as long as he's there they'll be fine.

I would say the OL is a symptom of our other issues, not the cause.

UGA hasn't done anything under Smart. The EAST has sucked the last few years... The only things UGA have done is squeeze out two close wins against ND, and come back from getting thrashed by OU. Just like the rest of SEC, they lose to Alabama and lose their bowl games.
