The “X” Factor.

Expecting an expanded role for X this week regardless. But if TVD is playing and even at 80%, having X as his security blanket in the slot could be huge, especially combined with CY's emergence. Haven't seen CY + X + TVD in a game yet. Add in Mallory, Parrish, and Ladson (sprinkle in some KB and Brashard), and we should be able to open it up (assuming Gattis isn't his own worst enemy).

Miami wins 15-0!
Defense with the shutout, Gattis offense with the amazing 5 field goals! Borregales POTG.
Bory again the hero you say.............hmmmmmmmm

If TVD is healthy and can be a difference-maker, I think the lights come on for Miami for this one.

The home schedule has been an abortion this year; Bethune-Cookman, Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina and Duke—as well as a barrage of 12:30pm ET kickoffs and snoozefests.

The freaks come out at night and Miami oft plays up or down to competition level and the moment.

8:00pm ET primetime kickoff on ABC, packed house at HardRock (full of friends and foes)—this could legit be a come-alive moment (for the night, at least—this Miami team could legit beat FSU and lose at Georgia Tech next week.)

Florida State was a 3-6 sh*t-show last season when Miami rolled through and was 6-12 combined under Norvell before they jumped out to a 14-0 start and rallied to beat the Canes with that 4th-and-14 pick-up.

Both of these teams have underachieved as of late, but they're still pretty even on paper talent-wise. Just a matter of who shows up and makes a few more plays, while minimizing the kinds of mistakes that have been disastrous for UM this year, special teams gaffes, defensive breakdowns, fumbles, interceptions, etc.

Feels like we're gonna be in for a 27-24 type back-and-forth game this weekend—similar to last year where it comes down to the fourth quarter.

I gotta feeling the U is walking with a W out of this one after a wide right on their part…

Yeah suddenly with CY emerging and X coming back it doesn’t look as desperate as a few weeks ago

George in the mix maybe?

FSU’s three losses came vs 3 very good teams — Wake Forest, Clemson and NC State — and they were close. Those team would have blown us out by 3-4 touchdowns.
Love my Canes but dems the facts…

Some of these rivalry weak porsts....

It's like when your wife is 3-months post-pregnancy trying to get into a little black dress she last wore over a year ago and she's really struggling to make it work. You could yell out, "you crazy woman, there's no way you're fitting into that dress right now. You're a solid 15 pounds heavier than you were the last time you wore that outfit." That may be the cold, hard truth. But you'd also be a d1ck for bringing it up under those circumstances (and where silence is always an option).

So, too, here.

They can't help it. When they're around each other too much, their cycles tend to sync.

Anyone know why Ladson barely played last week?
