D$ was right about a lot of this team but him saying Lofton is the best player on this team was crazy.
He wasn’t the only one. Other people that seen lofton was saying how great he was too. Even the coaches was saying it. Said he could play defense and be great too if he wanted to and that came from dawson

If you watched his HS highlights on here this was not surprising to see. He could be a special one
they must of not been on the recruiting board....he was my fav recruit in the class.

i think folks just summed him up after his commitment and never watched the film cause he from indiana. kid was a beast ond efense as well.

high quality film

I’m glad I didn’t watch much of the recruiting film for 2025 kids. It makes these gifts all the more fun. Toney, Fitz, Moore, Schott,Simpson, Prince…

Schott looks like a difference maker. Lofton better get healthy or this kid will start eating his reps.

People here are probably going to have a stroke, but he’s the best TE on the team. He’s way more physical than Lofton who again last night had a hard time with his wham blocks.

And he’s more explosive than the other stiffs on the roster who can actually block.

I hope Miami focuses on getting this guy ready for the heart of conference play.
I just wanna know what Lofton was doing in practice to earn this aura

He didn’t hold up against Notre Dame? Fine. Most won’t.

He didn’t hold up against Bethune Cookman. Couldn’t make anyone miss. Couldn’t break tackles. Didn’t look explosive. Couldn’t block.

Is this really all because he was nicked up?

Tbh he looks like he's carrying too much weight for his frame. Dunno if that's related to whatever injury he's recovering from

I’ll say this the offense is good but if they want to take it to another level get Pringle Gilbert Schott and Jojo and upshaw up and running … bring them in mid conference play to take that offense into the playoffs

Agree. He needs to continue to add S&C. Will be very good next season and all conference the following.

Luka stood out. Schott stood out. Pringle stood out. Wasn’t Chris Johnson’s TD a couple years ago against BC?

Not expecting guys to dominate but they should LOOK like they’re better than players on a team like Bethune just from a physical standpoint

Lofton did none of that

It's the only possible explanation, no? I mean, it wasn't just D$. Everyone who watched him just glowed about his performances. And he did look smooth in the Boise State game.

Have we not realized by now that this staff does not feature the TE's? Arroyo was 36 for 753 career. He had more than that to give. I see Schott getting more reps than Lofton at this point. Lofton will be a gadget player. Not saying he isnt' super talented but just going off what I've seen over the past few years.

Both the freshman TE’s played well today. Gilbert was a yard away from a TD that if he was a year or two older drags that BC defender into the endzone.

The room has a bright future
Yeah, would’ve been nice for Beck to get that and the Lofton passing TDs.

As for Scott, he’s clearly one of those players on a different level. Only question is how many levels up will he go.

if he can play, play'em. What should be done eventually--- should be done immediately
