He 100% catches that pass Gilbert didn’t. Yes I know it was a great hit
I get it all us whites look the same
It’s Dawson. He has never really used the TE. But that’s some mario wants to doHave we not realized by now that this staff does not feature the TE's? Arroyo was 36 for 753 career. He had more than that to give. I see Schott getting more reps than Lofton at this point. Lofton will be a gadget player. Not saying he isnt' super talented but just going off what I've seen over the past few years.
He played against BC let’s calm down a little. Good to see the young guys get some time. If he does it this week and then against UF I will take the hype level up.The way Schott moved around kind of reminded me of Bowers. I'd really like to see that kid get more burn going forward.
Marge Schott's grandson! The way Schott moved around kind of reminded me of Bowers. I'd really like to see that kid get more burn going forward.
It sure if trueMarge Schott's grandson!
Had a couple great insert blocks when he was head up on the LB he had to block. Used his hands well, leg drive, pancaked a dude. He canNOT figure out how to kick out with his shoulder. Get out of da chootz, off da sledz, work vs real humans (holding shields)I just wanna know what Lofton was doing in practice to earn this aura
He didn’t hold up against Notre Dame? Fine. Most won’t.
He didn’t hold up against Bethune Cookman. Couldn’t make anyone miss. Couldn’t break tackles. Didn’t look explosive. Couldn’t block.
Is this really all because he was nicked up?
Was disappointed in the Bethune game that he didn’t look more athletic than the guys trying to cover and tackle him. If the kid develops into a good blocking TE that can make some red zone TDs that’s great. Just wondering where this best player on the team stuff came from.Had a couple great insert blocks when he was head up on the LB he had to block. Used his hands well, leg drive, pancaked a dude. Yeah I get you, and if he can only hit on 1 of the 2 main blocks he's going to have to make, not greatWas disappointed in the Bethune game that he didn’t look more athletic than the guys trying to cover and tackle him. They're like South Park background characters. Just mob mentality. Two games in, already throwing Lofton out with the garbage. Never change, CIS. Amazing how this nonsense always plays out. Never mind the fact that the TE hasn't been featured in the first couple of games, Lofton hasn't had a ton of targets, and he's made the catches he was supposed to make.

When he caught that pass vs BCU dude looked like Bowers when he moved. He looks like an AA type TE, that’s all it took for me was him catching and beginning to run. I was like holy sh that’s the best TE on the team already. Maybe I am jumping the gun but he looks super talented. And you are right we just be shutting the film off when there isn’t any drama involved and they are from the middle of nowhere.they must of not been on the recruiting board....he was my fav recruit in the class.
i think folks just summed him up after his commitment and never watched the film cause he from indiana. kid was a beast ond efense as well.
high quality film
I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet on him as a TE/H-Back hybrid. Honestly, with his ability to be a matchup nightmare, I'd avoid using him as an inline TE, flex him out, force teams to have to adjust to him alignment wise. He isn't a strong blocker, which isn't surprising when one considers that he likely wasn't doing that before coming to college. Maybe he could be a Najee Davenport clone, but I don't know if Najee would have fit in today's game, where fullbacks and whatnot barely exist.Lofton needs to be used as a gadget player imo.
H-back who carries the ball occasionally and is put in motion a lot. He's too small to be a TE.
you not ... you don't search for talent, it jumps at you when present ... everybody and they momma saw the burst of pringle, upshaw, and schott ...When he caught that pass vs BCU dude looked like Bowers when he moved. Pringle and Schott both have impressive burst. Sort of reminded me of when I first saw Gore run at Miami. It just jumped off the screen the way he hit the hole. Obviously not saying Pringle or Schott will have that kind of career.you not ... you don't search for talent, it jumps at you when present ... everybody and they momma saw the burst of pringle, upshaw, and schott ...
