Thank you College Gameday

This is a political campaign against the athletic department. And it sounds like the green light to do this was given by someone. I’ve never seen them go so deliberately after a school unless someone said so.
I just don’t know who would have the juice to let them go all in or tell them to.
Vishnu is right. This whole scenario on display today could’ve gone on after the season we dropped 4 games where we were favored by 2 touchdowns. The timing of this is sus AF!.
If it didn’t come from someone affiliated with the program then my fear it’s from the outside as payback for something else. Maybe all the accusations of sec tampering and potential kids transferring is a way for them to deflect any accusations. Who’s gonna question anybody transferring anywhere after what’s going on now? Who’s gonna point a finger and say “tampering” after today?

Let’s not all start celebrating until we see what comes out of this.
Put your tinfoil hat away.

If you're outside the program and not a fan of the U you want business as usual to continue.

Basketball team also lost Timberlake to Memphis
I forgot about him. That's 4 guys. Brooks is a senior, Lykes would have theoretically been done in a non Covid year. Timberlake and Cross are the two that are concerning. Teams usually turn over 3-4 guys every year. That's standard. The only difference is that Miami lost two freshman, one that actually played a lot.

So this University has slipped both academically (ranked outside of the top 50 in most major categories & did u know FSU’s law school is ranked almost 30 spots higher than Miami, & Miami is behind both UF & FSU as far as “research schools” rankings??) and athletically, yet try to live off the past reps from both depts.

The combo of Frenk & James has been an unmitigated disaster. They want the donations, they want the season tickets, they want the tuition money, they want sponsorship money, they want all of this & have given zero means that necessitates their wants. Again, for all the “fund raising” Blake does, & emphasis on raising which means he’s “selling”, I can’t imagine the amount of money this University has lost from both the academic & athletic side just from wanting & willing to be apart of something great. (Actually I can just from the Nike debacle & the contract we signed w/ Adidas vs Adidas’ contracts w/ KU, UL, and UDub)

The right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing. I’ve now said this for yeeeeeears; this University’s issues has chit to do w/ finances, coaching, players, and everything to do w/ leadership & it’s from TOP to bottom. The natural resources afforded to Miami could easily make them a Duke, Stanford, USC…one who both accelerates in the classroom and on the field. Laziness, entitlement, lack of leadership, a lack of a sense of direction, u name it, that has led to this downfall.

If U’re not going to be good in athletics, u **** sure, as a small private school looking for handouts, better be great academically, and I just feel bad for all the blood, sweat, and tears the alums have put in the classrooms, research fields, & on the gridiron that put Miami on the map as a premier school, to have see this chit spiral on all fronts.
Perfection. Close thread

Okay but Miami chose to leave the Orange Bowl We were not evicted, we willingly chose to play that far away. I've heard the city was willing to renovate the OB, and I've heard that the city wanted to sale the OB to the school. Bottom line is, decision making on the part of Miami has been terrible and no one is held accountable.
1)We didn't own the OB
2)Once the City of Miami decided to give the Marlins that site, we were given a deal that no rational person would have taken(IE a poison pill deal, where we paid for renovations, but didn't own the facility). The OB desperately needed renovations and the City, despite owning the facility wasn't willing to pony up, even though a vote for the funding had been conducted AND RATIFIED.
3)What you heard, and what was offered are two different things. Then again, I'm not shocked our fans would believe any rumor that comes out, despite basic logic indicating otherwise.

Again, the difference between playing in the OB(Which needed hundreds of millions of dollars of work) and playing in Hard Rock, which you have an owner that will always pay top dollar to keep the facility world class is huge. Never mind the fact that the difference in commute between the OB and Hard Rock from campus is FOURTEEN MINUTES. Let that settle in. 14 **** minutes, on the freeway. Never mind the better parking, easier accessibility for our alumni(Who mostly live in Broward).....

Manny Diaz is a lame duck corch. And it's only September. Horrible for recruiting, especially with NSD now being in December. But the class is so small that it's as if the recruits knew before anyone else. #TheLostSeason

Then do you think ESPN just cares about this program enough to call it out after all these years? You think they woke up today and said “hey let’s clown this program all morning”. These news and sports anchors unless it’s a piece they’re working in mostly show up and talk ****. They don’t spend all night making decisions in the programming. This was deliberate.

Only way I believe anything changing is if the following things happen

1. Frenk announces in a press conference that Manny and Blake are gone
2. Frenk makes a commitment that $ will not be an obstacle to building a championship team
3. Frenk hires a respected that AD that understands how to be competitive
4. AD hires a proven P5 Head Coach commodity along with an expensive staff

Leadership needs to start from the very top, none of this AD I'm staying out of this. You can bet your bottom dollar that the presidents at the powerhouse programs are all involved in ensuring their program is successful. There is something really idiotic about the way they have managed this program over the last 20 years. The powerhouses saw it as an investment which is now reaping benefits. Alabama for example has reaped a ton of $ and ahas also increased its academic reputation because more kids want to go there which leads to better student-candidates. We have treated our football program like a piggy bank. This needs to stop.

Marlins park was built with taxpayers money. Why couldn't the OB have been renovated with the same? Which would have been far less by the way.

Great stuff but we did have one coach who turned the program during NCAA restrictions and built one of the greatest teams ever. Maybe he is still the one to turn us around. Butch is just a year or two older then Mack Brown. I know, we had our chance and blew it, but if he could come in and groom a replacement I'd like to see that happen. Forget Mario, he'd be a fool to leave Oregon. I wonder if Butch is interested, for being 69 he looks great and Snyder coached until he was 74. It is getting into desperation time, after all he beat Manny. Thoughts????
How about we leave the past in the past? The guy is 23-16 at FIU and 1-2 this year. His crowning achievement there is beating Manny Diaz.

You know what’s funny. I spent a lot of time over the years trashing ND because I thought they were always fraudulently overrated and overhyped…. But over the last decade they’ve beaten the teams they were supposed to beat, they been solidly coached, the school cares about the program, and half the time they’re in contention for the CFP…. We’re the fraudulently overrated/overhyped team, and I’ve just been blind to it.

It’s true but nowadays with the transfer rules you can rebuild a team pretty quickly.

The recruiting losses will be minimized with the right AD/HC. They have to fire Blake&Manny first.

Just. Get. Rid. Of. Them. Both
