Strong is like a girl everyone thought was very pretty. Then she arrived at the party and a few hours later she has not aged well. People trying to defend his losing at UT sound like people like myself defending Al for the first couple years. He is getting his rear kick at one of the top programs in the country and nothing indicates Miami will be different.

Kind of like rich rod at Michigan? ......

You forgot to mention he "was successful" playing a garbage, not real schedule.

Now that he has to play a real schedule he's atrocious.

He has No QB at Texas thats why they are losing...cant score points... if we basing off schedule i want no parts of Herman or Fuente.. they play str8 cupcakes

Everyone is jumping on Strong's record at a talent poor Texas. Does everyone remember what JJ's record was in the Big 12 before coming to UM? My point is each job is different, each conference is different and wait for it. Each "fit" is different. All of our great teams had a kick *** defense. Strong can bring that with SFL talent. **** he could win with Coley as his OC. Not that I'm pulling for that.

I prefer Butch but let's not act like Strong wouldn't be a pretty **** good hire.

He was the interim HC for the Peach Bowl in 2004. Not surprisingly, he was 0-1.

Also, name me another team other than Louisville who played the way the 'Canes of old played back in the day. They absolutely destroyed us a few years ago. They talked trash directly in our face and made our team look like a pinch of puzzies. They completely dismantled our team. Their defense played lights out. They showed no mercy. They took a dump on our squad and then buried our face in it. I was jealous. They stole our identity.

Teams take on the personality of their head coach. We could do much worse.

1. Butch is not only a realistic option, but probably all but announced.

2. Everyone destroyed us. Where you been the past four-point-five years?

3. No. We could NOT do much worse.

Hearing Mario so much makes me hope we get Strong but by no means is he my #1 . Just anyone but Mario. I think Strong could get it done with a good OC, especially with Kaaya and hopefully Allison. Then, try to keep the influx of talent coming in at QB and he should be fine.

Like Butch a lot, he is tied with Herman as far as who I want for the job, just have my doubt of him being named the next coach because of the administration. So you have to look at the other coaches just in case. By the way va tech looks to be close to naming their coach VERY soon, I was reading there board today.
