“When we recruit student-athletes to Texas A&M, our goal is to develop them academically, athletically and in their personal lives,” Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork said. “We are in the most transformational time in the history of college athletics, but at Texas A&M we are always going to hold ourselves to a standard of excellence. The Centennial Campaign is a commitment to that standard and an investment in our student-athletes.”

Through the Centennial Campaign, the 12th Man Foundation has committed to securing $120 million in donor contributions, which represents the largest philanthropic fundraising effort in the organization’s history outside of the historic redevelopment of Kyle Field.

“Donor support has always been a vital part of Texas A&M Athletics’ success,” said 12th Man Foundation President and CEO Travis Dabney ’96. “Through the Centennial Campaign, 12th Man Foundation donors are again standing to answer the call from Texas A&M to fulfill our mission of funding championship athletics.”

When is that cane fund gonna start up, I’ll throw a couple thousand towards the cause lol.

I’m pretty confident that A&M is not going to reach the heights they think they’re going to reach with jimbo. It won’t be because of investment thought that’s for sure
When enough money is involved I won’t count anything out. It may not be a one-to-one comparison but everyone was saying the same thing about Kirby smart and Georgia a couple years ago.

Different side of the conference. The west is a completely different animal than the East

aTm is in the crazy position of having all the money in the world, fertile recruiting grounds, a huge rabid fan base, and…very mediocre results on the field. It’s amazing that they haven’t been able to just buy themselves a championship.

If Jumbo gets an elite QB they’ll make some noise. If not, they’ll stay about where they are.

Not to end child hunger in the US, or fight cancer…no just to maybe beat Alabama in football.

^Well, that kind of puts things in perspective, doesn’t it?

I am happy these kids are the benefactors of these, cough, cough "Philanthropic" fundraising efforts. For so many years they were getting dry dyked by the NCAA Mafia and Institutions. Plus if it helps knock Baga over the cliff I may donate. Nothing I dislike more than baga, well their are two guys right there with them. If I had one spear I'd go nuts deciding which to use it on LOL.

They’ll get every penny and more. Possibly the most supportive fanbase in all of college football.
...until Jimbo pulls out the 'ol Kirby/Richt move and goes 9-3/10-2 every year until their fanbase runs him out of town when the amount of sheer funds isn't equating to trophies.

The problem with A&M is that they play in the toughest division in all of college football. USC is a sleeping giant because of resources/location/weak conference. Miami is a sleeping giant because of resources/location/weak conference. Ohio St kind of the same thing to an extent. UGA capitalized because of the first two aforementioned points + weak division (SEC East). Bama is just built different under Saban currently; we all are sick and tired of watching it but it's true, and it's remarkable the success he's sustained (still hope he croaks in the next two years f^ck him).

A&M can claim the first two points...but when you're competing with Bama/LSU every single year, that's no fun...heck they're not making any SEC Championship game as long as those divisions are in place. That's not even including up-and-coming division foes in Arkansas and Ole Miss, who have understood the implications of this monetary arms race and are investing in their programs as well.

Texas and OU will have this small issue as well...very interested to see how these divisions will shake out once those two join the conference.

Not to worry we have our 1 two punch in our fund. Not saying T A&M is not strong in their donations, programs, and NIL.

Our U though, has One of the best NIL opportunity in the country.......... as per Mario.

The Ruiz NIL factor, ( 1 st punch) and the quiet but intense Mas' brothers ( 2nd punch) slowly percolating in the background.

We are playing alongside the big boys.
