Texas A&M Game

In a battle of 5-7 underachievers, just getting through the game is a win, possibly a loss … glass half…
If we play well and come out victorious, it definitely sets the tone for the season. I'm really looking forward to seeing this new roster in action. This should be a very good game, but I honestly don't know. I do know we've got to come out swinging.

Agreed. We need to come out swinging and none of that just happy to be there bull**** we pulled last year.

This is a very winnable game. So we need to win the winnable game!

I’ll be there. Let’s ******* go!

Keep telling yourself that.

We win that game, we’ll win 9 on the season. That’s a figure that gets us a top five class, book it.

That game is huge for recruiting purposes and overall outlook on the program. How the offense, defense and special teams looks overall against their first real opponent of 2023.
Are you the same guy who said I was looney for picking Mich St over Miami?

A W or L vs AtM is a data point, not the guarantee for the rest of the season we all want it to be friend.

Night games are great but our biggest advantage is the September sun, which blazes on the visitor's sideline for afternoon games.

Let them bake over there.

Also, before anyone says anything, I'm aware it's warm in College Station, TX. It's not the same as the Miami heat and humidity in September, though. So save your breath.
Mich St says hi.

Tell us you've never been to College Station in September at 1500 without actually saying it.

🤣🤣🤣

Let's pin this friend.

I VERY MUCH want you to be right.

It’s not that players from Texas aren’t familiar with heat. It’s that one sideline is in the shade while the other bakes in the sun. I’ve lived my whole life in Florida heat and you couldn’t pay me to sit on the visitor sideline, let alone do it in pads and a helmet.

100% correct. My tickets used to be in Section 118, down low. Incomprehensibly hot for afternoon games early in the season. I can't tell you how many people I saw get stretchered out of there, and these are people just sitting in a seat watching a game.

Does it mean we're guaranteed to win? Of course not, many teams have come down and kicked our *** in that building for a noon or 3:30 game. But it's an advantage, absolutely no doubt about it, to be in the shade while the other team is in the sun, assuming it's a clear day. It feels like 130 over there on that sideline during an afternoon game, easily.

The visiting teams, for any hot weather stadium, bring their own shading covers and HVACd personnel hoses right?

I find them quite refreshing in my nether regions.

Dude I lived in ATL since I was 7… I stayed in Houston for the A&M game last year and **** that humidity hits different. Was brutal

This is a must-win game. We already had our moral victory against them last year. Doesn't go far.
