No wonder he checked out at FSU and went there: he gets a blank check on resources, a crazy contract, can bag even more there, and all the while still not have the craziest pressure to win (though there is some).

FSU bleeding money doesnt help either. i do think he has pressure to win esp this year. last year, you could give him a pass based on schedule. if they flop this year, itll be ugly

Texas A&M is set to embark on a multi-million dollar project that will improve the football tailgating and recreational areas on campus adjacent to Kyle Field. The "Aggie Park" campus beautification project was announced by the university on Monday.

Groundbreaking for renovations to the 20-acre space is set for Saturday, with a targeted completion date of spring 2022. The project, at a cost of $25 million, is being funded solely through private donations to be raised by The Association of Former Students and the Texas A&M Foundation, according to the university.

“We are excited about this project," Texas A&M President Michael K. Young said in a statement. "From beautiful places to study and relax to an outdoor amphitheater for events, Aggie Park will be enjoyed by generations to come. We are grateful to The Association of Former Students and the Texas A&M Foundation for their commitment to raise private funds to make it happen.”

Once complete, the renovated area will feature improved tailgating space, water features, an outdoor amphitheater, public Wi-Fi and permanent distinguished alumni recognition, among other features.
Looks like it should be done by 9/17/2022.

I dunno what his buyout is, but with the terms of his published contract he's still sitting pretty...pressure or not.

Great to see a school actually invest some money into taking care of their fans/students. Yeah it has nothing to do with about how successful they will be on the field, but it speaks volumes on how they view their fans/students while Miami's admin bangs their collective drums on how great it is that they provide buses/shuttles for the students to attend games that are 20miles away from campus.

It doesn't matter, his contract is fully guaranteed. 10 years, 75 million.

And doesn’t have to worry about his ***** wife banging any Florida gayturd she sees, and half the athletic department at FSU

Sooooo...this make's Jimbo's job change totally worth it?

What's dumb is he was only asking for a "little" to upgrade facilities. The irony is look how much they wasted on just buying out Taggart. (Over $20M lmao)

One of the best away tailgates ever was at A&M. If we ever schedule them again it should be on your bucket list to go there.

Interesting timing - the national 247 board has an article today about coaches facing "pivotal seasons" in 2020. Not necessarily coaches on the proverbial "hot seat" but pretty close... Guess who's on it?

Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M

Jimbo Fisher’s first two years at the helm of Texas A&M have been better than Kevin Sumlin’s last two in College Station. The Aggies have reeled in two excellent recruiting classes well.

But, Texas A&M isn’t paying Fisher a guaranteed $75M over a decade to go 5-3 or 4-4 in the SEC. It wants more. So far, A&M is 1-5 against the three West heavyweights Alabama, Auburn, and LSU.

With Alabama losing Tua Tagovailoa and LSU losing Joe Burrow (and a ton of other starters), the SEC West seems wide-open. The non-conference schedule is as soft as can be, with an FCS foe and three FBS squads which failed to make bowls in 2019. Additionally, the cross-divisional draw is the easiest it can be under the current alignment, with the Aggies facing Vanderbilt and South Carolina. Oh, and the three West bottom feeders all made coaching changes in the offseason.

Given that slate, plus 19 starters returning including QB Kellen Mond, 2020 looks like a year that the Aggies need to take a step forward. Anything short of 10 wins against this schedule would be looked at as a missed opportunity.

Fisher's going to get 6 years minimum at aTm. They paid him huge money, and there's not a lot of way they can fire him.

FSU might actually have to pay Taggart $0 because his contract was never formally signed.

Maybe they'll settle for $10 million.
