Terry Mccray

90% of the porsters that dog our players are the same ones that porst later and act like they never dog players.

You guys must have never heard of the word development. A lot of young kids on here. You guys grew up in the era of Jon Vilma and DJ Williams..Guys who played as true freshmen and played **** well. But most of you completely forget that guys like Jessie Armstead and Michael Barrow didn't see meaningful playing time until they were RS-SO...Smh. Why cant we just let him develop and see what he has next year? After 3 years, then lets make a judgment.

i agree we should let players develop more before getting brutal on them, but more often with certain players you know they won't develop. After two years, many users on this board could've predicted who was going to transfer from the 2012 class. And look how many ended up transferring

poor kid getting smacked on this board after his first game as a rs frosh :culpability:

...by many of the same ones that claim the coaches "throw kids under the bus" when they point out generalities like bad tackling or missed assignments by the team.

Don't wanna bash the kid, but he (most likely) wouldn't have got an offer under any other Miami staff. This is another Al Golden special, one of his master evaluations.

McCray is the one player that makes me wish that Golden was here in 2000 when I was coming out of high school or when I was playing JUCO.

A 6'1" 224lb Sicilian that runs a 4.68 and has Northeastern roots?! They would've loved me! I would've had my mom make them some meatballs and that would've sealed the deal baby!

3 years is too long which has been an issue with this staff. too much of a learning curve for our players and they don't seem to understand the defense until they are about to be done with their 4 years.

What does 3 years have to do with a redshirt Freshman?

I remember some trashing Ricardo Williams appears he made the 53 man roster with San Diego Chargers he also red-shirted and was called trash..

Saying a guy can't play at this level isn't trashing him or being brutal. It's just opinion based off of everything everyone knows about the player. These same ***** who are whining about trashing McCray when most are just commenting on his ability to play at this level are the same ***** who trash every player who moved on to the NFL this year.

I can't believe this thread explicitly trashing one of our players. I am no puritan but this really is offensive. mods??????

They don't care,

Macho, Jassid and I have all given opinions on Terry McCray and other Miami issues in this thread. There have been over 20 threads this offseason borderline bashing Duke Johnson but this thread is offensive to you?

any thread bashing players is supposed to be against the rules.

There's a difference between borderline bashing, bashing and opinions. Some people feel that our backfield is better this year despite two inexperienced runners and a weaker ol. Some people think that because Duke Johnson didn't go for 150 rushing yards+ in an FSU game he's a choker. I disagree with both statements, but opinions are opinions.

Dycane called him the least athletic LB since the 70s. May not be 100% verifiable but mccray ran a slow 40 and had poor S&C numbers. That's just how I see it, obviously you see it differently

As a linebacker that's not bad man. 4.68 is probably top 4 linebacker on this squad.

I would've had one of the weakest benches on the squad though. Coaches had to force me to get into the weight room back then. Had a high squat and could dunk a basketball but upper body looked like wet spaghetti. LOL
