Terrible take on Beck

Cam is a serious man that takes his craft seriously...

But he tightened up his game here a lot. He became R1P1 here. With Dawson. Gotta give Dawson his props, too. Cam gives him his flowers.

But the league is going to find out Cam is just built different.
Cam is different man he is going to make everyone look good like most teams with great players. Everyone cant coach till they can coach, when that talent arrives everyone forget the previous year when everyone says fire the staff. Happens everywhere.

It’s a fair point, both takes in each side have fair points. If we were on that side we would probably say the same thing.
Can't get down with that....they seem very bitter and disingenuous. Bet if he went to tOSU, they would be claiming he walks on water.

We don’t know I’m not on there forums but I’m sure there were people that did not like Beck. We do the same thing here lol. We love the verbal, hate when they play then love them again when they live up to it lol.

People hated X so imagine they wanted him to transfer.

I'm not going to read that article.

But I wanted to point out that a LOT of the articles we now see on our Google feeds are AI-authored. They are NOT written by actual sportswriters, and you will frequently see that the "names" of the authors are foreign and do not represent an actual real person who works in sports media.

**** is getting crazy out there. No more fact-checking, lots of "sports-sounding names" of fake sports news outlets.

Yeah, I get it, it's the internet. Still, don't believe everything you need. Check the source. Be wary.
I have a lot of friends in what's left of journalism. The AI sh*t is rampant.

Whether Beck performs at a high level will depend on Beck himself. He has a top OL, he has quality RBs, while his WRs are young, they have the makings of very good players. TE ditto. If Beck is focused on becoming a top 15 NFL draft pick, he will study this offense and light it up. If his arm is ruined or he has the wrong attitude he will wait a long time to hear his name come draft week.

Some bozo GM speaking on anonymity says Beck is a red flag because he left Georgia for us. Piddly poo....and suck it
Maybe that GM doesn't stand the modern state of CFB. Perhaps Georgia could afford to keep both Beck and the other QB. But the transfer portal coupled with NIL makes any barrier to departure virtually nonexistent. It's not 2019 anymore.

Here's the link from Sporting News where the article was actually published.

Less sophisticated than what our high school staffers on CIS write. I think @TheOriginalCane is right, and Shane Shoemaker is a BOT. Or maybe UTN Chattanooga is just a bad school of journalism.

IF that's the case, THEN he should know not to comment on it.

You my dawg and all but, me and you don't determine Beck's value, clowns like this gm does though.

He carried that offense. Look at their yards per carry against the best teams they played. The running game was nonexistent. 3.4 OC against Kentucky. 3.1 against Bama. 3.6 against Texas. 1.8 (!) against Ole Miss. 3.8 against Texas in the SECCG.

Their offense without Beck against Notre Dame was straight garbage. 10 points. 296 total yards. Two turnovers. They’re an 8 win team at best without him last year.
A huge difference from 2023 to 2024 was Brock Bowers going to the NFL. Beck to Bowers was the 2023 offense.

The 2024 offense was a LOT of dropped passes and Beck playing hero.

If his receivers didn't suck, he'd be top 10 in passing, and TD's..instead he's just outside from last year.

and he had more TD's than his good season.

Man Cam Ward helped Cam Ward become the first overall pick. Dude did the same **** at WSU just everyone who was watching cfb was a smooth brain and didn’t see it. The minute he transferred I said he would be the top pick in the draft and some people didn’t believe it.
His QB coach has been saying that. Cam just needed more eyes on him; eyes that belonged to the right people during prime time hours. Not at 10:00 and 11:00 pm..... Did he clean up some of his issues? Yes. He finally had a solid OL and skill guys around him that allowed him to do that.

yes. Remember the "X is taking reps from other guys" crowd???

lets say they complete half of those...putting Beck at 3800 yards and probably 30+ TD's..that's a bad season?
Beck would have had an additional 665 yards (giving him over 4000 yards) if not for the 36 dropped passes by his receivers last year. As I stated above, they led the nation in dropped passes.

And anyone who watches a lot of UGA football saw how much Beck ended up making a lot of plays himself because he couldn’t trust his receivers and his backs were mediocre. He had 55 carries himself, averaging only 1.3 yards, but that is because when he ran, it was when he was trying to get the first down on short yardage situations. There is NO reason he should have that many carries, and it is very telling of the situation he was in.

The lack of skill position talent at UGA is concerning (for them). There’s no excuse for a school with their resources to have that poor quality at receiver and running back. Even their offensive line was weak. I’m not joking when I say they’re going to look like they did when Kirby first took over. Really good defensively and really bad offensively

Absolutely. They’ve been the complete opposite of what we were last year, which is something I haven’t seen noted in any of these crap articles about Beck. I’m pretty sure I watched every UGA game (or almost every) over the past few years, and there really is no comparison to the two offenses. These writers are so lazy.

Yup and a higher ceiling will be reached in the nfl, there is only one qb in the league I see that it looks like two hand touch(Pat)
Cam is the only qb I have seen that looks the same period. Not cause he’s a cane but when I saw that WSU film I was like who tf is this. Before he entered the portal, hall of fame qb right here representing the university
