Tennessee wants Bama (Game Thread)

Their coach was 7-4 in his first year there. Maybe give our own coach an extra year before ruling out him being a good coach.

Heupel improved over his predecessor by FOUR WINS. That's a **** of an improvement. UM has gone from consecutive years of 35 ppg and top 25 offenses to struggling against MTSU. Again, if the argument is Cristobal needs more time, why didn't Diaz get that time? He barely made it past two seasons before fans decided he should be fired, and he didn't have the highest paid staff in the acc.

Let's be honest here, the kind of kid that is impressed by the SEC "It just matters more" stuff and the packed facility likely isn't going to consider Miami seriously. Mario is intelligent enough to recognize that there are plenty of high end student athletes that are receptive to the Miami sales pitch, and what we do offer that is unique. SC is fighting the same battles, and Lincoln Riley is leveraging his resources in much the same way.

Riley is light years ahead of Mario. And Mario isn’t intelligent, if so he wouldn’t have the offensive philosophy he does

What’s our current sales pitch? Early PT?

“He barely made it past two seasons”

Yet you site Mario’s 4th game before finishing his first season?

You proved my point.

Manny was here for 5 years and his part of the team kept getting worse and worse

TrumpyCane says nice try

This was a fluke game. It happens in every sport. Bama played a horrible game, and Tenn played their best game of the season. In the end, if Bama hits that FG, it’s over. Happy for Tenn but let’s not act like they are the 2001 Canes.
