The first two once prolific programs are a complete dumpster fire. The next two are just above that. Other high profile programs have found their footing with mild setbacks. The state of the U is in flux and in this town it won't fly. To ex players it wont fly. Fans will simply not support average thats why the banners must fly before it gets any worse.
CMR said he came here primarily because of the fertile recruiting grounds and we are #25 at rivals.com. so who is fooling who.

Players want to go to winning Programs and coaches who will give them a chance to play at the next level. MR? NO!!!

Teams stuck in the past... Nebraska was stuck running that option for longer than they should...

Miami and USC were both innovators moving the mark originally but now are stuck trying to be a minor league NFL team for whatever the reason

Miami fans will not need to boycott games we are not a college town. The base simply will not grow unless you are at least relevant and eventually considered in the elite category.

Miami and USC have had to deal with probation and that has really hurt both programs. Nebraska and Tennessee, have had no such problem. Nebraska has very little competition in their area of the midwest; no excuses for their production the past few years. TN is an even bigger aberration. With the money, location and fertile recruiting region, they have no excuses either. In fact, TN should be huge in Mississippi, Louisiana, the Carolinas,Kentucky, Missouri etc... Besides probation, Miami's main issue has been the unwillingness to pay for big time coaches. Miami's BOT/presidents have believed that they can recreate what they had in Jimmy Johnson, coach Howard, and coach Erichson. These days, if you want to win, you've got to go with proven commodities. That's why they hired Shannon, and Golden. CMR marked a change in the commitment for higher wages, but they forgot the "proven" part. With what he had at GA, CMR should have won or at least played for a National Championship; period. That's why, even though I supported the hire, I wasn't thrilled about it; besides, I'm a Butch guy anyways.

Bro I wanted Butch too but man I cant just call for the mans head this early. If the CFP would have been in play GA would have played for the championship twice. Lets be honest they many not get there for a while under smart. He has the same problem as Richt. Nick Saban or Urban Meyer when he was there.

Miami is far ahead of those other schools right now imo.

USC is a distastorous situation considering all of the advantages they have over their competition
