Tell me Stoops shouldn't be our next Coach

He shouldn't. He hasn't won or done anything. There are better options. Who cares what a coach shows from an emotional standpoint if they don't have it upstairs from a technical perspective? We don't need a ra-ra guy. We need a proven winner with a technical background.
 
Oh man come on. "Look at him at practice"? Really? People were saying the same sh*t about Golden when he was first hired. "Look how involved and intense he is at practice compared to Shannon".

Its getting silly at this point, the endless criticism. If the dude cant fix it, he will go. But nitpicking how he acts at practice compared to a guy that hasn't won D*CK at Kentucky? When people were slobbering all over the guy for the way he was "at practice" just a few years ago?
 
Live in Lexington so I follow uk football a little and went to the game last week. You can see a huge difference with their team this year than two years ago. He would do well here but I don't think he leaves uk after just 2 yrs considering all the football upgrades they agreed to when he took the job. He also had no talent at uk when he took over so his record isn't indicative of what he's doing. However, would like to see what he does this year and next before considering him for the job
 
He has recruited top 25 classes to years in a row. He turned around FSU defense and his DC was one of this coaches at FSU.

actually he didn't. they already had talent stacked. he was only there for a year.
 
Does anyone remember that he coached some of the greatest secondaries in CFB history (01-03)?

I don't see how you read the rest of my post and concluded I want to keep Al Golden. Al Golden is not a proven winner or technical guy. I don't care what defense Mark Stoops built. I'm not in favor of hiring coordinators or a guy without a resume. What top school does? I'd like to take a look at Hugh Freeze.

He is a head coach now. He is coaching this team and mccord, aqm, carter, grace, bush, tracy, etc all develop into good nfl picks.

I don't see how you read the rest of my post and concluded I want to keep Al Golden. Al Golden is not a proven winner or technical guy. I don't care what defense Mark Stoops built. I'm not in favor of hiring coordinators or a guy without a resume. What top school does? I'd like to take a look at Hugh Freeze.

I am not sure Hugh Freeze's Bible Camp bull**** would play down here like it does in the Deep South.

Coordinators are hired all the time. Everyone can't have HC experience, these guys aren't born HCs.

David Shaw was a coordinator. Mark Helfrich was a coordinator. Bob Stoops was a coordinator.

You clearly didn't take my comment on its face. I don't appreciate the assumptions and the sarcasm.

Douchery notwithstanding, I'll respectfully reply to your comment. Randy's defenses as a whole got progressively worse. He rode on Schiano's coattails. The secondaries were consistently good under Stoops.
