Except every kid he recruits.
He's 40 & black. He's Thomas Brown, but with actual coaching acumen. Kids love him. He's proven himself as one of the best recruiters in the country.
Unfortunately, he hasn't proven himself as an OC.

You need both.
Venables was outstanding calling plays in the NC game, it matters
Solid post BrockPeople could point to 2018 all they won’t but that’s what happens when you lose as much as usc lost in Sam darnold and Ronald Jones. After the posting the #13 offense and #20 offense in the country in 2016 and 2017 usc didn’t have as good as results in 2018 but you know who else had a bad year after losing a generational qb? Bobby petrino when he lost Lamar jackson and I absolutely Think he’s one of the best playcallers in college football. It happens
I love this site. The people who are saying NO wouldn't know who Tee Martin was if he walked up to them and started talking.
Applewhite was a Co-OC those first two years. He was only the primary play caller in the last two of those seasons I believeI liked Tee Martin before the applewhite talk and then I was On board with applewhite being Miami’s potential oc after I did some more research. But tee Martin absolutely could work very well in Miami. Top 5 recruiter in the country and he’s led 2 top 20 offenses in 2 of the 3 years he was Oc since 2016
FWIW

To add to this graphic applewhite was Oc for houston in 2016 and they were#41 in total offensive rank
My prediction...Applewhite as OC/QB coach...Tee martin as co OC and WR coach
One of the truly toughest men I know. Love him as a position coach. Not sure as OC. Croots will love him.I’m not very familiar with him to be honest can someone fill me in
i prefer guys that can produce without generational talent seeing as we haven't had a guy like that on our roster in decades. we need an OC that can do more with less at the QB position.People could point to 2018 all they won’t but that’s what happens when you lose as much as usc lost in Sam darnold and Ronald Jones. We're not that lucky lolMy prediction...Applewhite as OC/QB coach...Tee martin as co OC and WR coach
Sounds wonderful! Fit right in!So as a USC alum, I love Tee Martin as a position coach. However, I will tell you he is not a good OC. He was so bad that he was stripped of his play calling duties. He is unimaginative and can not game plan. He was routinely out-coached.
Again, I would love him as a position coach, but calling plays is a no for me. He is a premier recruiter.
