Why not? Mario bolted on Golden for Saban after about a month. I’ll grant Richt is not Saban but Texas Tech is not Miami. Texas Tech no chance at a Big 12 title and CFP berth. Miami is expected to compete for and often win the ACC championship and CFP slot.

Offer to make Yost the $1M OC the Canes can allegedly hire. If Yost rejects the offer, so be it.

I have a hard time labeling someone a great recruiter because of his time at USC where recruiting seems to have an autopilot. And his offenses there were not creative or innovative. Also, I don't want a sorta good OC who just make things a little better. I want a guy who is a genius that will transform the program or a guy that will fail miserably so that a coaching change will be forced. Prolonging mediocrity is the worst.
