You need to crave those balls. Some people just don’t want it bad enough
To want them on an almost unholy level.

Thank you! I feel the same. Blades trailed the receivers too many times and not good at playing the ball (int or knock away). Couch was the best CB at the true abilities a top CB should have.Nah, Ivey was bad... Very very bad.
He got beat on a ton plays where if the QB just made a good throw would've been a TD.
He's slow & has bad feet, no recovery speed at all, he was a huge liability in coverage.
I still have flashbacks of the fake punt where Ivey let the gunner go right past him. I still don’t understand what happened. After all, we kept our defense on the field to guard against the fake punt.Lets hope DJ makes big strides going into JR year

Playing the ball and timing is the next part. Sometimes the game just has to slow down a bit. Which comes with experienceI agree with this. I think the physical talent is there but you’re right
1st..you don’t turn around while in phase with a WR to look for the ball..or most times u end up looking like that Louisville DB lol...hips parallel to the wrs hips..stay attached..play the ball as the WR plays the ball. Especially on the deep ball. You don’t want to lose track of the WR..now I’ve always heard DB coaches say play the WRS eyeswill any of our corners ever learn to turn back and look for the ball when its in the air?
I said it a few months ago that he was our best Cb and that every time i saw a receiver on 3rd down catch a ball Ivey was on the ground or no where near the dudeBlades was our best CB last year, and our best cover corner since Corn Elder. Not sure why the CIS hype train isn't on him, he had a great year.
yeah was not a good year for him. idk why blades didn't start over him . i believe we talked about that a few months a as well.Nah, Ivey was bad... Very very bad.

the problem was they didn’t use bandy in the slot much this yearMy hot take is he starts at slot cb and will be way better than Bandy
Whew thought he entered portal, # respect my decisionYou can’t just post a thread with a guy’s name.
It scares people.

He is a the best man v man CB..can be a pest in the slot..on the outside with our scheme he needs to get stronger and more physical out there..the way we play we want/need length outsideCouch is the best cover corner on the team. He just needs to live in the weight room this spring and he'll play major minutes next season.
What was your take on how Al played in the bowl game? I was left with a little doubt....Al blades is fine at one of the cb spots. Feel pretty comfortable in saying couch will be the nickel corner. I want Christian Williams to push or possibly take the other cb job from ivey(who looked bad in some games for sure but had a few good games last year as well)
He got beat at times in that game and vs fiu, but still doesn’t erase what he did in the season as a whole. He plays cb so of course they will get beat at timesWhat was your take on how Al played in the bowl game? I was left with a little doubt....

Bandy quite a few times too. I thought Bandy regressed last year and was shocked that he thinks he's good enough to declare for the NFL draft. I'll be shocked if he gets drafted at all.
