He is an old time state of Florida DB. Not a STA/IMG overhyped checks the size and speed boxes type. Phillip Buchannon was in modern palance a 3 star undersized (weight) kid from Fort Myers. Kelly Jennings, Robert Bailey, Ryan McNeil, Tolbert Bain, Anterl Rolle, Mike Rumph and many others were similar. But they all came in with the height, coverage skills; but not the weight. With proper S&C (not Gus any pound added is good mentality), and technique, they became lock down corners. Lock down corners win college football championships these days - Bama and Clemson say Hi.

Most likely. I'm guessing he'll be similar to Malek Young who had flashes of greatness but struggled his freshman year because he wasn't physically ready yet.

Young had a big jump the next year and it seems Couch could have a similar jump. Couch defintely has a higher ceiling than Young though since he's taller and longer

Nah, he's good but he's definitely not better than Al Blades Jr. (If we're counting Trajan as the best). Al is humble, talented and when you speak to him you can tell he's very intelligent about the game and life in general. He'll have a breakout season

You can tell the people that never played. This is the time guys like him typically look good. Hes small so shirts n shorts is his thing.

Full pad...full tilt will be his problem FOR NOW. He's always been pretty sticky in coverage...but some of yall need to pump your breaks. Ive literally only seen clips of him getting beat in tight coverage so far.

Yeah. Rolle and Rumph (especially Rumph) were **** near 5* kids. But I get his point. (I guess)

That said, kid like him is going to look good in shirts and shorts. Lets see what happens when the hittin starts and all 225lbs of Robert Burns is coming at him full speed ready to run right through him. Then we will see if he is ready for the big time or not.

Yup played against Antrel my soph year he was 6'0 190 LOL....but Couch is a beast in his own right!
