Team(s) getting buzz that will bust

Am a daily listener to Finebaum Show and Tennessee is going to get my vote. Think they are one year away. Who do you have as a overhyped team with bust written all over it?

depends on what you mean. tennessee is 25th in the preseason coaches poll and i think that's about right for them. i've heard some people mention them as a sleeper candidate for the playoff, but to that end i agree with your point.

i think stanford is the best team in the pac 12, so usc/ucla/oregon all seem a little overrated to me right now ...
 
Arkansas, Alabama, & TCU.

I think Tennessee will win the SEC East and play Auburn in the SEC Championship game.
 
Tennessee is being over-rated. Snuck up on a few people late last year. QB remains unproven and not impressed with depth behind him.
 
People are going to learn one day that Gary Patterson is on the same level as Irving Meyers, Nick Saban and Dantonio when it comes to the elite coaches.

Took him a couple years to adjust to the Big 12, but he has adapted now and is going to keep his team in the conversation for a long time. We should have hired him when we had the chance.

Tenn has talent on offense and defense but they let it get to their heads and forget that Butch Jones is an average coach and that Joshua Dobbs, their Winston, isn't as good as they think. They will finish with 8 wins.
 
Notre Dame is always overhyped. Zaire looked terrible to me in the bowl game, he better have come a long way since then if they are going to be as good as people say.

I'm buying the TCU hype, I thought they deserved a playoff berth last year. Even though Ohio State won it all I still think they never should have made the playoff, I though TCU was clearly the best team in the country at the end of the regular season. Obviously OSU is deserving now that it played out.

1 more reason I believe in TCU, Gary Patterson. IMO top 2-3 coach in college football right there with Urban and Saban

Yall keep saying how fsu isn't good, yet we haven't beaten them in how long?

Anybody loses a talent like Winston will struggle. That's not groundbreaking.

Imagine .. We're about to be 0-5 against them under Golden. Shhhhhhh!
 
If Tennessee was in ANY other conference they'd be getting no buzz. The $EC is once again fraudulent therefore the OP is spot on. Give me Notre Dame, UCLA and Ole Miss as other busts.
