Exactly what I’ve been saying about Rodriguez. The staff went into the portal for a starting center 3 years in a row. Not like they don’t know how to do it nor like there wouldn’t be plenty of options. But they didn’t. That tells me they’re confident in Rodriguez. We’ll see how that shakes out but if Alex is confident in his dude, I’m confident.

I think we might see Wiley used a little like Lightfoot was last year? Perhaps some DE type plays maybe just to get him involved. Defense is deep though

He’s got as much upside as anyone on the roster though hope he takes a big jump

Same. I mean it became a bit of a joke how many centers we were offering in the portal the last few years. It’s clearly important and we know Mario has no desire to go back to the Gaynor/Clark days

So he was great at Duke but was being told where to throw it. I wasn't aware of this. How will he handle the decision making?

The part about finding more ways to use Mali is bewildering to me. How many more ways can he touch the ball considering he is catching, running throwing already. I actually wish for the opposite. I thought we got too cute with it last year and tried to force it towards the very end of the season. There is a happy medium for the right number of touches in a balanced offense.

having 'depth' is always momentary and can change in a week or two. And if you're going to recruit at the level Mario is now, you're going to have a lot of '3-and-done' players (which is a great thing, IMO)
 
We are loaded at DB and rush, but really lack quality depth at dt and lb. Will be interesting to see who rises behind toure and smith. Need pruitt and Wiley to be those guys.

hard to get quality depth at dt ... it's not enough to go around

I don’t think there's a team with more DLine depth than us, except maybe Oklahoma or TTech.

Oregon has been highly touted this offseason for their DLine, but they're selling a high premium on Matayo Uiagalelei & Teitum.

Both Bear Alexander & A'Mauri Washington are run stuffers, but they don't have the pass rushing prowess of Moten.
