I get why people are saying this was a bunch of nothing

Still, good to hear on a couple things (even if it might be typical spring summer nonsense)

1. Nickel stepping up. I’m biased but he struggled last year at this point but thought he can be a really good one

2. Samson. He’s gotta be the guy this year on OL

3. Buchanon. Changing of the “guard” literally with Cooper moving on. Was nice to just have him basically every single snap the last few years and not have to worry about anything

Love Anez and everything he did for this team, but Buchanan has a much higher ceiling IMO because of his athletic profile.

I’m willing to bet that if Ryan stays healthy, he’ll be one of the best centers in the country. He has all the physical traits and athletic ability you look for at the position.

What really stands out, though, is this staff’s approach. They’ve been extremely aggressive in the transfer portal when it comes to finding centers over the years, yet this offseason they didn’t even recruit one. That speaks volumes about how highly they think of Ryan and SJ.

Could be right. Cooper got on the field as a freshman and immediately pushed people around. Basically played every snap for the next four years

Leaves a big void there literally and figuratively

For sure, if Buchanan can't cut it for whatever reason, or if he gets hurt, that is a big hole, especially with the run game flowing through the A Gap.
