TE coach

Miami's weaknesses were exposed in the title game. TE and OC. The game was lost due to those two positions.

That TE is probably the worse player Ive ever seen at miami. Kirby Freeman was bad. Kacy rodgers trash etc etc But this kid cost miami the title. Straight trash.

Man. Harris or Bauman?

To be fair, I saw this happening all over college football this past season. It truly baffles the mind when you see so many of these returners fair catching/returning kicks inside the 10. It feels like it’s transitioned and they’re teaching them to apply this to a kick inside the 5 now instead of the 10 like they used to teach. If you got a freak of nature like Toney or Hester back there I’ll give them a little more leeway, but other than that this would drive me nuts as a HC.
I'm more willing to let it pass with Malachi for obvious reasons. He's always gonna give the effort to make something happen. Marion was my issue. But regardless it's poor discipline.

One man's trash is definitely another man's treasure. Furthermore if you'd look at the rest of the staff he's put together at Ole Miss so far it would make sense that you'd hire a tight ends coach like that to go with the OC that you already have in the quarterback coach that you have I don't even know the running back coach or the wide receivers coach they hired. But I'll simply leave it at I'm not impressed by anything there doing. If you needed another example of that the bartender had a job too Don't know if he still does. But if so that is most definitely another example. He was getting fired no matter if he got another job or not he didn't leave on his own free will and decide he wanted the same job for Ole Miss.

Bartender has been the Safeties coach for the Browns since 2023.

Gotta be on coaching Marion was an all American KR/PR wasn’t he? He shows up here and it was nothing but fair catches…. Just saying

One hunnit percent it's on coaching. He was a preseason all American kick returner. I said last off-season that's one of the things I was tremendously disappointed in MARIO DIRECTLY about. He's the one telling them to limit all risk. Just doesn't line up then when you see all of a sudden we're taking it out any possible chance we get. If it was still the same as last season Marion ain't taking the ball out from the two and going nowhere with it. That's contradictory.

Just gonna gloss over Special Teams? Missed kick? Blocked punt for a TD that ended up being the difference?

The only thing that was consistent was Toney’s PR skills
Agree, and that was on Toney, can’t teach or coach up what he has, maybe tweak it. Other side is , a S**t coach could f**k it up, but that’s an immediate firing offense. Can’t kill that Golden Goose and expect to survive.

If Miami not going to utilize a TE in the offense then why even bother, special teams coach way more important right now
ye. can we plz adress what was our biggest weakness, difference in loosing to IU, and the biggest difference between us and IU?
tired of the returns not being up to par. no TDs, guys looking at toney and running into him instead of blocking. fg made were meh. and we wont discuss punting and its blocking. smh

IU has like 7-8 blocked kicks the last two years. 2 Punt return for TDs this year, and kicker is lights-out.

i dont want to meet them boys again and ST cost us another game

The block punt you mention was caused by non other than #87 a TE.
87 was definitely at fault. But who is coaching him on that unit to get punter and blockers on the same page if he’s gonna split right while punting in our own red zone or not. It’s also not like the rest of the ST unit was great otherwise.
