If Tate wants to have a future where he makes money playing football, he needs to switch to more of an H-Back role. It's obvious that he doesn't have what it takes to play QB at an elite level, but he's still a great athlete.

He could be a Taysom Hill type of player. A good coach can create packages for a player like him. Mix things up. Catch passes out of the backfield. Block. Run.

Sometimes things don't go your way but you have to adapt and overcome.

He just needs to polish his techniques at the position more. He's relied on decent QB mechanics cause he can wow you with the running ability. He's going to be a great QB for a good team, he just needs to get better as a passer

I believe he could be a great college QB under someone like Urban or Frost.

We brought him in but a pocket passer capable of hitting downfield routes from under center always seemed to be the type of player that would best fit Enos’ system.

Not sure why we brought in Tate if we weren’t going to roll out an Urban-style power spread to fit his talent.

Guess it helped us land some west coast kids and light a fire under Jarren? Still hoping Tate stays because his chance could come at any moment.

didnt urban tell him to find other schools before the end of the season?

Idk what's up with all these people saying he can't play QB? He's just a spread guy put him in a full spread system and he would be fine. He was just being asked to do more here.

sure he can, he only has to grow 3 or 4 inches and gain 30 lbs - kid not playing anything other than Qb

I understand what your saying but him and Taysom Hill have 2 vastly different bodies. Tates body couldn't handle what Hill does. Maybe Tate can play WR...

This is such an outrageous thread he’s never even played a meaningful college snap. He was 43-0 as a QUARTERBACK playing one of the toughest high school schedules. How can you you say he’s not a true QB until he proves it in a meaningful college game.

If he stays and works, hw will definitely get some playing time because of his mobility

I think Martell can do very well, just got to be in the right system. Houston would be a really good fit. From greg Ward to deriq King they have had great qb play with guys of his stature and athletic ability and neither were necessarily elite passers although king has a lot of ability

He can definitely play at this level. If he’s not a QB, than half of QB’s in college football need to change positions too. The thing is he’s such a good athlete that it leads to that more with him to compensate.
