You also have to remember that there have been a lot of coaching changes since Martell went to OSU. His primary recruiter and former OC Tim Beck is gone and there are new people in charge. If you don’t think Martell is a significant upgrade over what we have now, you are kidding yourself.

They were sold on Martell there's a reason why they kept trying to put him in games but Fields is considered a generational talent, Martell would never have gotten the chance to compete.

That's a big reason why he transferred even with Fromm playing bad early in the season Fields was never given the opportunity. Same reason why Martell is transferring now

This may be true for N’Kosi but if you watched games Malik literally just couldn’t make the **** throw . Dudes wide open . How many times did we see our WRs throwing their hands up in frustration...yes the offensive gameplay was trash but even plays that had the potential to succeed Malik blew it over and over

Obviously, not the case. Fuelds didn't do much when he was in the game. The games I watched they mostly had him run the ball..

Why you say Fromm choking? I could care less about UGA, but they made their decision at QB and Fields is at OSU. The horse has left the barn.

Martell being #1 QB going into the spring means nothing. All it would be is a formality. You dont sit on talent, martell was going to be given the keys next season but when the opportunity for a talent like fields came about it you dont pass on that.

I agree about Malik. We've seen 2 years of it. Now, if N'kosi doesn't perform better this year, (if he's the starter) then we can say the same thing about him.

Word on the OSU sites are Martell was Urban Meyer's guy - brought in to run the offense the way Urban wanted it run. Ryan Day is planning on changes and Martell's strengths don't play into that the way Fields' do.

Also, there is a lot of chatter that Martell has already reached out to two teams he is most interested in. One is a Big 10 team, the other is not. The 2nd team is not in Texas and not out west. Miami has been named as the 3rd choice. This is coming from a poster who claims to know directly from the kid's family. And it was corroborated by another poster. Looks like the 2nd team is either in SEC or it could be Oklahoma. Penn State seems to be the Big 10 team.

Probably true, but as a player, a competitor, you have to take my job. I'm not going to hand it to you. Further, we didn't see anything exciting from Fields this year. He didn't pass the ball that much.

It's a big jump from high school to college. Just because we've had a few guys become instant stars such as Tua and Trevor Lawrence l, doesn't mean every top QB is going to be an instant success.

Sure, he could have passed Burrows. OSU was so happy with Martell's progress last year that they went after and Justin Fields.

He'd be an absolute moron to choose Oklahoma over us. Kid was scared of competition with Fields, so there's no way he transfers to a place where Spencer Rattler is arriving in the summer.

There is a reason Fields got the red carpet treatment at the Ohio State basketball game. Arm talent isn't the only factor that goes into ranking QBs. If u think Martell wouldn't instantly be the best QB on our campus, well, im glad u aren't running our program.

I’ve read Penn State and WVU are the 2 options getting the most play. But the WVU stuff might have been with Holgorsen at HC.

Auburn would seem to make sense, IMO. Gus made the title game with a converted DB.
