That’s not telling the right story. Unfortunately, Bobby isn’t the HC, he’s the OC. How has his offense done when he is running his offense?Reminder: the last time Petrino had a 10 win season was 2011.

So….everything? My concerns going into this game:
-TVD thumb injury maybe not being 100%
-Talent advantage for Texas A&M
-Elijah Arroyo not being 100% as I think he could be a mismatch. As the moment we have a blocking TE who doesn't threaten the passing game, and TE who can threaten the passing game, but can't block. So you sorta tell the defense run/pass by who is out there. Then you have a guy who can do some of both in Riley Williams, but he is a true frosh.
-Our WR's getting some separation in tight man coverage
-Our CB's covering their talented group of WR's
-Jalen Rivers and Francis Mauigoa in pass protection. A guard playing tackle, and a true freshman.
Educate me. Why do you think Petrino will kick our ***?That’s not telling the right story. Unfortunately, Bobby isn’t the HC, he’s the OC. How has his offense done when he is running his offense?
Where did i say he would kick our ***?Educate me. Why do you think Petrino will kick our ***?
I'll be drunk by noon for this game.
Not that I don’t think Petrino can coach offense, just commenting that the majority of posts mention him (including my own) and it’s been a while since he’s been at the front of a college offense. We will see. It’s not like you forget how to call an offense but a lot has changed the last few years as well.If all Petrino does is replace Jimbo's giant playbook overcomplicated offense with something average that lets the talent shine then that could be enough, they allegedly have 4 WRs better than our WR1.
Similar to how Dawson doesn't have to be a mega mind to be a huge upgrade over last year. A completely average scheme that lets TVD audible, has simple reads and doesn't confuse the WRs could yield a big improvement.
He's saying that Petrino's record as HC is irrelevant since he's the OC now. Plenty of failed HC have succeed as OC or DC.Educate me. Why do you think Petrino will kick our ***?
I agree with your offensive game plan.On Defense: I am getting after Weigman early, hoping to get him off to a bad start. He's gonna come around at some point but if you can squeeze 2 or 3 quick stops early I think you can weather the inevitable storm. They're going to get yards in the air. In the second half I think you need to be more confusing schematically than aggressive and don't give anything big up, hoping for a turnover.
On Offense: I am pounding A&M early, keeping that defense on the field as long as possible while the sun is still out. If that's effective, in the second half I'm throwing speed at them, wherever I can. Keep those guys fresh for the end and hope the first half struggle will keep them a step slow.
You're right. We had all these DL studs, with no LB talent, and Durkin runs a 3-5 most the year.
Here is our DL breakdown by class, star rating, and national position ranking. They all rotate:
2020 Class:
DT McKinley Jackson 4 star #8
DE Fadil Diggss 4 Star #11
DT Isaiah Raikes 3 star #61
2021 Class:
DE Shemar Turner 4 Star #10
DE Tunmise Adelye 4 Star #12
DT Albert Regis 4 Star # 37
2022 Class:
DT Walter Nolen 5 Star #1
DE Shemar Stewart 5 Star #3
DT Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy 5 Star #4
He's eligible for Social Security, his last gig was at an FCS school. He's a solid coach, but he's not a savant who's only been limited by the talent around him.Educate me. Why do you think Petrino will kick our ***?
I get that. I'm saying he's not Lane Kiffin in a neck brace. He's saying that Petrino's record as HC is irrelevant since he's the OC now. Plenty of failed HC have succeed as OC or DC.
The new rule is that there is a running clock except the last two minute of the 2nd and 4th quarters. I was watching the 2-minute drill and twice after a running first down, even as the announcers were discussing the new rule, the clock was still running. I was like WTF!!!Are you aware of the new clock rule?

I said he's a solid coach. But some on here would have you believe he's the most awesomest OC to ever call a game. If that were true, he wouldn't have been bouncing around so-so schools for years and fired from Louisville after losing 7 games in a row. You can argue the last two were against ranked teams and so was the first, but UVA, FSU, GT, BC, and WF weren't and they only scored a field goal against UVA.Did you watch the A&M v UNM game last week? I didn't see any drop off in Petrino's play-calling ability. I know the comp was low, but the routes were sound. Nothing like A2M in 2022.
