We not playing Petrino. We have to confuse Weigman. Gabbert is a very experienced QB and i seen us totally bamboozle him where he just ate the ball. And times when he read it,he had like a few seconds to get rid of the ball..

Wow really I thought Petrino was playing QB?

Man Jimbo is more ruthless with the depth chart than Mario

TVD- 19/25, 274 yds, 3 TDs

I’m hoping Jimbo brought Petrino in to run “the aTm offense” the same way Dabo brought in Riley to run “the Clemson offense.” That would help. A lot.

I think we play a lot of 2 high. Back up off of their WRs, disguise coverages, and try to bait him into an interception or 2 by showing blitzers and dropping them into his passing lanes or him trying to throw it down field into 2 high. Probably won't end up with many sacks unless he's confused post snap and holds the ball because someone is in his passing lane he thought he had or because we disguised our coverage really well.

Other than that, he'll be getting the ball out quick taking what we give him. No since in blitzing too crazy because we won't be getting home and he has good legs.

Their interior OL is rock solid if Bryce Foster is fully healed from his season ending injury last year. Our best bet to get consistent pressure is probably Mesidor lined up on their true freshman RT. Force them to run middle or left.

Then again, in previous stops, Guidry has been more "stop the pass and force teams to run" versus the opposite that most DCs are doing. Durkin is very similar but has had lots of trouble stopping the run his last several years as DC and HC at multiple programs. I'm not the least bit afraid of their running game unless it's Reuben Owens and he's a liability in pass pro right now so we could take advantage there if they want to feature him.
Guidry plays a good amount of quarters, our dbs have to communicate well

I want to see how much guidry blitzes, their qb did really well vs the blitz last week. Of course it’s different vs us but he seemed comfortable vs it, gotta execute ours well

I didn’t see them getting near him quickly. Did you see that they did?

Guidry is really good at stopping the run with 4-5 guys. If our D line can get off blocks and tackle, it’ll allow enough numbers on the back end to hold up against their receivers.

Just gotta hold up against their D line and run the ball well enough to sustain some drives. Hope TVD is healthy. Need the threat of the deep ball. Their DB’s won’t lag 10 yards off the ball like Miami OH and give up short passes all day.

Asking so much of Ray Ray so early...

BUT...if he is the Santana Moss clone we hope he can be....

He's going to be a problem for any D to stop.
I would just like a few wrinkles for him or Harrell, to get the ball. They don’t even have to catch it just make the defense account for them.

Nope, he handled them pretty well tho. Just basing it off him knowing where the pressure is coming from and still being efficient. Our pressures are different tho so we’ll see how he handles em

Yep, y'all need to keep it low scoring. Our D was young last year, but we only gave up avg of 28pts in SEC play- including 24 @ Alabama, 23 to LSU. We have 9 starters back.

If our Offense gets going, you're going to need to score a whole bunch of points.
If if was a fifth!!....Yu know the rest.... you're in the wrong place for that type of bravado!

I don’t think Weigman has the patience. He’s not a dink and dunker. Obviously Petrino knows this so he’s gonna dictate that with his playcalling and limiting audibles.

I think CW is very good at taking what the D gives him. Whether he goes short or long will depend on Miami. If the matchup is there, we'll go deep.

One thing I'm MOST curious about is the use of our TEs. Jimbo (and Petrino) is big on that. We lost one of our starters but supposedly have a couple good ones there. You saw ZERO of that in the NM game (though we did split our TEs out at time. I think, AND HOPE, we're going to see a lot of TE passes.

Like I said before, the offense you saw against NM is NOT the offense you'r going to see Saturday. Will it still be as effective? I have no idea.
How many students actually get commissioned in a graduating class? And what about those that don't get commissioned?

The pirate's statement is still true.
Well, sure, it's true of every ROTC organization in every college in America, except the Service Academies, where military service is contracted upon entering. He (and you) make it sound like this is some "pretend army". The Corps of Cadets prepares young men to be officers in the U.S. Military. Some contract with the government to serve, and some do not. My son did. What % do, I don't know. I guess Mike Leach is probably having a beer with hundreds of our young men that did, and maybe they're telling him about their pretend army experience in WWI, and WWII, and Korea and Vietnam...

Lots of stars. But the on field doesn’t match. You guys need a better dc to unleash them. Until then it’s all potential
I didnt give you that list to prove anything- just showing you what we have and how we have 9 guys that go in and out. Who knows how good they'll be.
