TAMU Game Week Discussion Thread 2.0

On Defense: I am getting after Weigman early, hoping to get him off to a bad start. He's gonna come around at some point but if you can squeeze 2 or 3 quick stops early I think you can weather the inevitable storm. They're going to get yards in the air. In the second half I think you need to be more confusing schematically than aggressive and don't give anything big up, hoping for a turnover.

On Offense: I am pounding A&M early, keeping that defense on the field as long as possible while the sun is still out. If that's effective, in the second half I'm throwing speed at them, wherever I can. Keep those guys fresh for the end and hope the first half struggle will keep them a step slow.

My buddy who's our Dj at the bar is a huge LSU fan. He said the exact same thing about the wr/cb match up and said they were in trouble. Well he was dead on.
I have a tweet from August 18th about it. FSU fans saying im just downplaying them after the win. I pull up the tweet, they had a new explanation.

Guidry says it, for u to have a good defense u have to have CBs who can cover deep and to the outside 1v1.

I follow other teams offseason just to not saying stuff off casual fan bias.

When i heard the LSU writers talking about the position i was like wow, they are in big trouble. FSU could have a field day.

10:30…. Yikes those monster turkeys gonna have me stumbling by game time.

Actually, Texas A&M commissions more officers in the U.S. Military than any institution outside the U.S. Military Academies.

Love Leach, but a quote like that does a dis-service to America in general and specifically to the literally thousands of Aggies that have given their lives in our defense.
How many students actually get commissioned in a graduating class? And what about those that don't get commissioned?

The pirate's statement is still true.

really need our corners to play well and for Harvey, Bain, Kelly, Taylor, etc. to get some serious pressure

I want us to win badly. But, I am worried because JacAzBo Fisher is 8-1 against us.*

*I think the one loss occurred because he was distracted by Candy getting “busy”………..

Take the wrinkle from Wink Martendale NYG DC he had undrafted guys starting for the giants last year and just blitzed and blitzed so the bad CBs don’t have to cover long. It worked most of the time

I hear u but Jameis and Dalvin Cook aint coming to save him so I'm def not scared of him. Petrino is the one I'm more concerned about. Hoping the rush can get home, if it can consistently the game will go down to the wire which should play in our favor 🤞
