If Texas lost it would have been the same result. Its the flip side of having scheduling competitive matchups. I agree with Herb I'd rather see this than Tarleton st or some FCS school. Ideally they would drop out of the top 10, but we don't want to discourage these games. The regular season has already been watered down. That being said neither one of these teams wins out.

Their OL is the same as it was last season and their defense is worse.

This OSU team could lose multiple games in conference. Art Smith has then playing a square peg/round hole offense, their WRs outside of JJ are JAGS and so is Bo Jackson.

I got them losing to USC and Indiana.

No reason to expand the playoffs then.. You would be able to lose 5 games and still make it.. **** would become nba level where regular season is pointless, just show up when season starts in Dec.
 
What we learned:

-Ohio State only plays 3 Quarters.
-Smith is good enough to carry his team, which he does.

-Manning is average but also Texas' offense does not help him succeed.
-Mannings' spirals are ****.
-Manning throws the ball sometimes with his eyes shut (I have pictures)
-Manning panics when pass protection locks down his receivers--either holds the ball and takes a sack or takes 4 seconds after a pump fake to lead the defense to his checkdowns.
-Sarkesian is a corny-assed dude, but he's also gutsy going 3/3 on 4th down conversions.
-Texas might have a guy in Hollywood Smothers.

The other ****** is Ryan Day. Not letting Texas score on 1st and goal from the 1 foot line with over a minute left and 1 TO remaining. You just need a FG. You haven't stopped Texas rushing the entire 4th qtr. You are not going to stop them with 4 consecutives tries from the 1 yard line.

He knows he didn't play well but doesn't care because they won.

He also has that Manning personality and wasn't interested in playing the 'awe shucks, credit/glory to..." role for the cameras.

Brother I'm just meeting where we are at. 12 teams is already ridiculous to me, but the toothpaste doesn't go back in the tube. It will only get worse. Soon we will have a play in tournament and they will be trying to turn this into "January Madness" with 24 teams. 8 was the right number.

Smith makes that fourth-quarter catch and we’re talking about Ohio State winning the game
 
I wasn't impressed with anyone but the Texas RB. OSU didn't deserve a #1 ranking. Texas beat a good, but not great OSU team. Now, Texas will go lose a game or two against teams they shouldn't lose to if they were a real top 4 team.
