sucks man........also we dont have the edge in recruiting anymore. Finding the studs early was our thing but the internet/camps changed all that.

Bulldozed stadium, poor coaching, recruiting, development, culture...and we're still pretty relevant. There's more to overcome now but college football has always been cyclical and we'll be back one day....maybe.

we will all know when the right coach is here he will have a saban/kirby effect on the trail. Thats when we will know we are arriving foreal

Why do people act like striker is such a unique position? It’s just another name for a big nickel.

It’s someone who’s versatile enough to play the run and pass but mainly on suspected passing downs.

Manny was smart to incorporate it but let’s not act like he reinvented the wheel here.

Naw, I gotta disagree. A Nickel is usually a DB who covers over slot. What Manny is doing is bringing down tweeners, guys who played Safety in high school, but don't have the athletic ability to do so at the collegiate level, but are not big enough to play the LB position either. They are not quick enough to play the slot WR and not big enough to cover a TE. Our striker concept actually sucks, imo.

You’re correct for nickel but I’m referring to a big nickel package. That’s usually your 3rd safety and not your 3rd DB the way the traditional nickel is.

I do agree either way the concept has gotten a bit stale. If we recruited LB’s who could play all 3 downs we wouldn’t have to worry about this, but we have 3 LB coaches and are still stuck putting corners and safeties at striker to compensate for our lack of numbers.

It would be great if tae can be a Brandon merriweather type player for Miami. Tae can grow into a similar frame meriweather did (was 5’11 at best at Miami at safety) and I think Can do some similar things. He’s a great athlete in the secondary to have for sure and an impressive pull all things considered from the staff.

A little undersized and I’m not sure if he has pure safety instincts. He is athletic enough for corner.
Alot of people forget about instincts when it comes to safety play. It's the most important thing, to be able to track the ball from a outfielders angle and to know when to come up to fill. That's why I was hoping Deon Bush would play CB here and Tracy would get moved back.
