84 catches with only 941 yds is what jumped out to me. May just be their system cause Meeks was 13ypc.

A year of prove production & ****ing off Fran Brown means I wouldn't be mad at it.

It's a shorter, controlled passing game.

McCord threw the ball 60 times more than anyone in the entire country, averaging 45.2 attempts per game. And he completed 67% of his passes, which is awesome, good for 12th in the country.

But he only averaged 8.1 YPA, which was 21st. Cam Ward, as a comparison, averaged 9.4, which was 3rd to only Dart and Howard.

They didn't ask McCord to launch the ball down the field. He's very accurate, and they have (had) a lot of good receivers with great hands and short-area quickness.

4 guys on their team caught over 60 balls, and one of them was Allen, their pass-catching back.

None of those 4 averaged more than 13 per catch. But Pena led them in catches, and touchdowns. He's a very good player. He's not a 6'5 kid who runs 4.3, but he catches 70+ balls in this offense next year with his eyes closed.

It felt like the 3-4 times I watched syracuse the whole thing with McCord was get the ball out asap and just keep taking up 6-12 yard chunks then pick and choose a deep route every so often when they press up.

Could explain some of the lower averages.

Appreciate you. I'm too lazy/disinterested to do the research past looking up their #s from last year

Poor man’s Restrepo is a take all day.

Not even sure how much poorer he is.

They might have the same job, tbh.

Where's Restrepo going in a couple weeks? Round 4? Maybe 3? Supposedly Pena had a mid-round grade and decided to go back to school. They're not the same player, I think Pena has a little more speed and wiggle, Restrepo is definitely stronger and bigger in the lower-half (pause). But Pena can give you the same production X did last year in this offense, provided Beck can be even close to what Cam was.

As I said, he catches 70 balls here this year in his sleep.

Restrepo went 69-1127-11. No reason Pena can't get the same production with maybe not quite as many yards.
