Yeah he had app state beating us as his upset pick of the week
I wonder when it'll click for him this year. Probably not until November

The constant need for validation from the media by some Canes fans is just plain silly.
At what point will some of y'all realize the media is never going to root for us, or hope we're good.
During our dominant era, we were the representation of everything that was against their "core values" & all they held sacred.
We were small town middle/rural America's nightmare... A bunch city boys from MIA coming to town to whoop *** & take names.
That is stained in their memory of us, just look at what happened to the fans of App St after we beat their ***, it was a shock to their entire community... They still haven't gotten over & recovered from it.
Even though Miami has been terrible for the last decade plus, the media still revels in our downfall & is scared ****less of our resurgence.
So, we shouldn't get to a place where we get upset because they're not drooling over us in the media like they would for a program like Texas or USC were they to return to prominence.
When Miami gets back to being a dominant program, it's not going to be welcomed with open arms by the media & the rest of the country, it will be fought against & met with resistance as much possible... We won't be embraced with love & respect, the reaction will be..."Aww f*ck, they're back.."

I don't know why you guys are upset about people picking against us.
It makes wins that much more meaningful and hard to ignore. If App State was so good they could beat us and we crushed them, that says a lot more than if we were 25-point favorites. If people are picking GT to cover or win, that will make our win look better. At some point, they can't say we haven't won any meaningful games if we keep beating teams we are, according to these analysts, supposed to lose to.

I think a lot of the talking heads do just that. Trash us, then bet on us, knowing their words can potentially move lines.
