Keyshawn Smith

Elijah Roberts
Those are two excellent choices. I hope Smiff takes it to the next level. I've been waiting for him to have his coming out party. Hopefully it's this year.

Roberts is a another kid who has had an excellent camp and is coming into his own with the new staff. Can't wait to see him this year.
Surprise by definition would be the unexpected emergence of a player. For example, I wouldn't be 'surprised' if Chris Graves, given the opportunity, balled out. Maybe a bit ahead of schedule, but wouldn't be a surprise. So in that vein my 'surprise' choices:

D: DJ Ivey - another staff, and now even some pro scouts observing practices are wrong? In year five w/solid coaching it all comes together and the natural talent emerges, minus the bonehead miscues. Only wish someone hadn't beaten me to this choice. Kid even gets drafted (mid to low).

O: Thad Franklin - say hello to our short yardage back, and late game finisher. Mario wants to run the ball and I'm not convinced and old school big back fits the traditional bruiser role - thus a 'surprise'.
exactly!
