Sun Sentinnel " Civil War within Hecht"

There isn't a need to hear from them. Message board users outlet is public posting. Our BOT can ***** directly to James or Frenk. It is no different then if you have an issue at work, you don't comment publicly about it, you handle it internally.
If that is the case, there is no clearer evidence of their inaction than the unchecked clown show the last year, beginning with the 3-4 hour HC search. Whether they owe us an explanation or not, would have been nice to have an occasional indication that they are doing their jobs. A hint or a clue would suffice, like Marcus tweeting “E before W.”

okay, but it's still just a recommendation. I agree Frenk is not as independent a thinker as Donna was, but if i'm reading the tea-leaves correctly the board is meeting "resistance" with trying to install Alonzo.

Yes, there are some board members who are not as adamant about needing to fire people in the Athletic Department, and there is also the Beta Blake & Manny combo, who are resisting. It's not Frenk who is passionately and articulately making the case for not hiring Alonzo.

Why does she need to resign?

Obviously, because some people think she votes for Democrats. And obviously Shalala hired Beta Blake so that he could launder money for the Clinton Crime Syndicate.

Or so I have been told.

What? The BOT can't address the talent gap. But they CAN hold the people accountable who are responsible for that talent gap. Not sure what you want the BOT to do about recruiting.
Ipf is nice. But still need improvements everywhere else.

Edit: they sure as **** didn’t spend all that money for the fans.
UF just finished the season ranked in the top 10 and a bowl win and they’re spending money again with upgrades. That’s a BOT and AD that is committed while argue over Highsmith and Lasner.

Marcus Lemonis is also a big Mario fan (both went to Columbus). Publicly Marcus knows it isn't professional for a booster to call out the athletic department, but that doesn't mean he isn't doing it behind closed doors.
Whatever. Put the E before the W and whatever he said.

Never said Frenk was "passionately and articulately making the case for not hiring Alonzo" or anything of the sort.
It's actually Frenk's lack of action or passion in this regard that perpetuates the problem.

Boards don't fire or hire administrators; university and college presidents do.

and this board thinks the BOT is the problem

It’s all talk until changes are actually made.

We still have Manny. We still have Blake. I can only speak for myself, but newspaper gossip isn’t going to move the needle for me. Action is.

It literally does not matter if the president is the final signature on the paperwork. Nearly every university president in America is not a specialist on athletics, they are ACADEMICS first. That's why you need a subcommittee to make those decisions, and then let the university president be the last finger on the trigger.

But there also needs to be trust. And a president that is wishy-washy on taking any kind of action (as Frenk is) will not be the final step in the process to fire people in Athletics.

I don't give a **** about Frenk, he will be gone soon. Thus, my commentary on how the BOT needs to be restructured applies no matter who the president is.

Good sign that there are still people around who care about football and winning. Hang in there, fellas, and keep pounding the table.

If you really want to make a difference contact Cristobal and see what it’ll take to get him here then pony up for his buyout.

Otherwise, trying to cajole Fake Jimmy into being a competent AD by pounding tables and getting mad isn’t going to accomplish anything. Put your money where your mouths are, and hire a competent football AD and get the HC to turn it around and give him the resources he demands to do it.
I think Mario is at the heart of the issue. I think some BOT members really wanted him, and others wanted Diaz. Now that Diaz has flopped HORRIBLY, and Mario is winning big in Oregon, the **** has hit the fan. The pro-Mario crowd has never had more solid footing, and **** it, destroy that table with a pounding Blake James deserves. I'm sure there's a lot of, "Why should you make another decision after picking Manny Diaz?" And if there were children on the BOT it would simply be, "See? I told you so!" Anyone that jumped all over the Diaz train has lost credibility, while the ones wanting Mario look like geniuses.

This guy is helping to make decisions for a football program B before the I and C before the H
