If true, this may indicate that Richt expects a blowout by the Pirate, and doesn't want to be associated with the debacle. Not that I blame him.

That's a pretty far reach, friend... Or it's simply because 1) Richt/UM gain nothing from him watching the game in person, 2) Richt wants as much downtime with wife/family before he ramps up his responsibilities in January (December 26 is a horrible day to be working abroad) and 3) El Paso is about the worst place in North America you could be asked to play/watch a bowl game in.

I actually think we'll win the game. But Richt not going to the game has more to do with keeping the spotlight on the current staff until January and allowing him to focus efforts elsewhere (new staff announcements).

I hear that. I dread any comment like, "at UGA ....". Al has traumatized us. Heck, I got upset when I heard Mark's son was going to be on the staff -- double hit on that, Bobby and his son and Al and his boyfriend.
 
To me it's likely about being respectful of Scott, plus El Paso. If the game was in NYC, something tells me He'd have been there.
 
Going to be difficult to win Sun Bowl. Coach Scott and company still believe they have a chance to be retained, and are likely working hard towards that end. D'onfrio on the other hand has zero motivation to even try and call a competitive defensive game. Think about his " best" efforts of the pasr--and they rarely measured up. No that he is certain to be unemployed on 27 Dec?

This game will be a disaster unless offense can score 45+ points.

When did he ever try to call a "competitive" defensive game plan?

Dorito didn't call an aggressive game plan the whole time he was here. Dude is pathetic.

There were stretches of games against inferior competition where he would be a little more aggressive. But for the most part he always calls passive, prevent style defense.

After all of the crap he put us through he should be persona-non-grata in the city of Miami.

Richt won't be at the game because he doesn't want to watch the cluster#### that is Dorito's defense. Dear God, I hope that game is the last we see of that POS!

I unfortunately can see this being the case. Although this will be a money game for the draftees.

Surely, you jest, Orange. Richt will NOT coach during this game. But Scott will with the
current play book.. Careful what you post, many will believe you're serious.
