Stroud seems like a great guy - i hope he does stay in an off-field administrative or analyst type role. The kids seem to like him and the guy put his life on the line to coach this year. Nothing but respect for what he did.

As for his replacement, give me a coach who develops monsters and demands toughness. The Dline needs to set the tone for the entire defense.

This was health related, he has a life threatening illness so not terribly surprising. Great recruiter and coach, hopefully they can figure out a place for him off the field.

They should make him an arm chair coach.

I tried that with my suggestion they bring Sonny Hirsch back to do the radio play-by-play—-prop up the cadaver and hire a ventriloquist. Somehow, it just didn’t go over with fan base. I dunno, people just have this thing about dead people continuing to work and earn a living.

If true, this is a big loss. Coach Stroud was a great recruiter and and teacher. We should do everything possible to keep him on the staff in an off field role or advisory role.

He's done a **** of a job developing our DL and helping bring in talent to fill holes.

Would love to see what he could do off the field with a guy like Partridge on the sidelines.
