Strong "Irritated" With Miami Rumors

If you really piece together reports and actions, I think it's becoming clear Strong is their #1 target right now, and the interest is mutual. That's probably what this firm is working on as we speak.

Yep. I think that's who they are waiting on to get a definitive answer.

If Strong thinks he lacked support in Texas, just wait till the first game he coaches here features a banner.

Hiring Strong would be so beyond stupid and reactionary my mind would be numb. Would be an awful hire.

If you want a guy like strong, save money and hire Butch Davis. He's basically the better, more proven, more respected version of Strong. I swear to god I will be on instagram and facebook and twitter from day ONE with the hashtag #FireStrong if they hire this dude.

The earliest he can take the job is Dec. 6... they still play Baylor on Dec. 5 and our season is over next week after Pitt... how will that work?? That's my only concern

My only concern is he is a fraud corch who has failed worse than I have ever seen at a program that has 10 times the resources we do. It would be a MISERABLE hire. I will be trolling from DAY ONE if that assclown is hired.

Imagine if Strong gets announced as Miami's next coach 24-48 hours after Baylor's offense puts up a 60 burger on his putrid UT defense to drop them to 4-8. And then UT ends up getting the guy we should be coveting (Herman), allowing them to return to relevance while we continue to be a dumpster fire.

But he was a bad fit there and he'll be fine with his South Florida recruiting ties, bros! Maybe he can keep James CoRley to save our irreparably broken offense with more recruiting!

I'm telling you now I would not give this man even a DAY. This fan base is more angry and irritable than ever. I can't see how hiring him would be anything other than a PR disaster. Do they really want more negativity??

Strong is a coRch with a capital R. He didn't do **** at Louisville until Bridgewater started playing. He doesn't have a QB, and is coRching it up (clap, clap, clap, clap) Deep in the heart of Texas.

The way things have gone around here the last decade, that's how it'll all unfold.

Strong puts the finishing touches on the giant **** that is his 2015 campaign and is immediately named Miami's head coach. Texas turns around and hires Tom Herman within the week. We fart around at 5-7 wins for the next 4 years while our fans make an unholy amount of excuses for him, and Texas becomes a juggernaut led by the young Urban Meyer.

Is strong the best candidate? No, I'm pretty sure everyone wants Herman or Davis back. but I would take him in a heartbeat over Cristobal... IMO Charlie strong is an excellent coach but the move to Texas is not a good fit for him at all

I agree that I would take him over Cristobal....however I think that calling him an excellent coach is completely wrong. I guess what I am saying is that I would hate either hire.

So basically no level of failure at Texas has tarnished Strong in the eyes of some grade A potatoes around here? His mere potential availability (only as a result of said massive failure) is actually somehow spun into a positive. Sign me up. Let's see if he "fits" here.

That's why, despite all the rumors floating around I refuse to believe he is high on the search committee's list. I'm hoping Vilma and Testaverde are smart enough to take his recent failure at Texas seriously.

No one cares who you would take over whom, broke. You were riding Folden's sack until the Clemson game.
