That's what these guys are saying and they try to throw shots at miami.

Guys, stop talking about Charlie Strong possibly leaving Texas to take over at Miami.

Reports have linked Strong to the Hurricanes' opening, saying either he is interested or that Miami believes he would be interested if approached with the opportunity. However, that doesn’t seem to be true considering the Austin American-Statesman reported Strong "has become irritated" with the reports.

According to OrangeBloods.com, Strong has not spoken with anyone at Miami.

And honestly, why would he speak with anyone at Miami?

Strong said last month he has "the best job in the country." And though some may debate that statement, it’s hard to argue Miami is a better gig. First off, Strong is pulling in $5 million per season in Austin. Former Miami coach Al Golden made just north of $2.5 million per year before being canned. Secondly, the resources at Texas dwarf nearly every other program in the country, while Miami shares a stadium with the NFL's Dolphins 20 miles from campus.

But let’s not just rag on Miami, let’s consider why they would bother trying to pull Strong away from the Longhorns.

Strong has won just 10 games in his two seasons at Texas. Granted, two seasons may not be enough time to establish yourself in a program — Strong went 14-12 in his first two seasons in Louisville before posting a 23-2 record over the next two seasons. Still, Strong doesn’t fit the bill as a candidate worthy of breaking the bank for the Hurricanes.

Ha. Sure, buddy. But, by all means, stay there in that absurdly toxic situation.

Ol Chas seems to get irritated a lot recently. Probably because he keeps forgetting Clint Hurtt isn't allowed to work in college any longer.

If he is truly irritated, all that he has to do is publicaly state that he has zero interest in becoming the head coach of Miami. That would put the rumors to rest.

This was in the article but didn't paste.

Source tells @AnwarRichardson that Texas coach Charlie Strong "has become irritated" with reports linking him to Miami. He doesn't want it.

A guy from Texas called in to Arutes radio show on XM today and said that all you hear on the radio there is that Charlie is gone, done, etc. He said that almost everyone talks about like its a foregone conclusion and the situation is toxic. They want him GONE. I can't imaging how hot that seat is.

Today was actually a good listen. Butch' co-hosts on Mondays and Tuesday's and his comments are very carefully structured - even when Cane fans call in and beg him to come back....lol. Butch said you don't forget how to coach, how to recruit, or how to build a staff.
(He had me at 'you')

It's funny the reporter cited this dude and THEN added he was " irritated" which is not what the original report said lol
Original report

And that's why you have a search committee do the outreach so potential coaches currently employed can deny any contact from anyone "associated with the program".

If you really piece together reports and actions, I think it's becoming clear Strong is their #1 target right now, and the interest is mutual. That's probably what this firm is working on as we speak.
