Strength and conditioning coach

We need to start looking like mutants coming out of the smoke. You turn on Bama or Clemson and those guys look like grown *** men that just shot up their *** cheeks before the pre game talk. We need to physically destroy people again.
 
Bo Davis hasn't been a strength coach in over 13 years. Yeah, he spent a few years with Moffitt--15 years ago. His resume seems very shaky to me.

Color me confused D. For the S&C role? I always thought he was a DL coach and looking at his resume, it looks like the last time he had anything to do with S&C was 12 years ago????

Dont know much about the S&C network but you would have to think Darren Krein is at least on the board and worth a call to gauge interest. His resume seems to stand up alone even without the Miami ties. That dude was one intense **** on the field. Only thing that scares me is it doesnt look like he is working right now. Why didnt someone scoop him up after he left the Colts?

I'm confused as well if it's just S&C.

It's about recruiting. Is Alabama winning because they have the best S&C? Doubt it. Recruit better players and win more games. When was Miami "destroying people"? Late 90's to early 2000's. Best teams ever assembled because they had the best football players.

It’s more than that. Alabama recruits better players AND they have the best S&C staff AND they have the best S&C facilities. If you’re going to beat the Bamas/Clemsons/OSU, simply improving recruiting isn’t gonna cut it.

I’m constantly amazed at how some posters here underestimate the importance of the S&C coach. It’s one of the most important hires a head coach can make, and every great coach (Saban, Meyer, Swinney) are all on record as saying it’s the most important position in the program.
