He definitely padded a lot of his numbers against weaker competition. Another thing to note is that he never got more than 16 carries in a game. He only averaged ten per game. Riley Leonard was their workhorse last year. Love was more of a change of pace guy who took advantage of teams keying too much on Leonard. I’m interested to see if Notre Dame is going to give Carr such a heavy workload while continuing use Love as a second and sometimes third option.Didn’t run for over 50 yards against any top 50 ranked defenses except Indiana who was suspect at best.

I think he’s a real good back but too many watched that play against Penn State and are anointing him the next S Barkley.
He is definitely capable of breaking a long run at any time but he’s not the guy who beats a team by himself.
