Stop Blaming The Players

everyone gets blame for last night...rewatch the tape...there were guys loafing out there and barely trying. then rewatch the FSU tape and compare. You can see the lack of effort by some, not all..of these dudes.
That said - our coaches are not P5 program type coaches. None of these people deserves to be here and that starts at the top. Which is why I keep saying this is not fixable until you start by removing the real problem and then work your way down. Even IF that were to happen (which it won't)...we are talking years to rebuild a completely new culture.

The responsibility is ultimately Manny's... they're his hires who work to groom these "kids" to perform at a respectable level. Last night was an abomination... everybody looked clueless. The only team completely focused was a 21 point underdog FIU. Manny dug his grave last night... fly the ******* banners.

If I'm playing my 5 year old nephew in basketball, do I need my brother to tell me, back him down? No, I know I'm 110lbs heavier and 2ft taller, I do it myself. This is all on the players, talent alone should have won that game

We’ve sworn off a lot of players who went on to make a lot of money and win a lot of games.

The problem is obvious. We’ve hired five straight coaches who will never be head coaches again. That might be a record.
Considering that the three coaches before that all went on to NFL jobs, it's pretty amazing how we got it right for so long and then tanked so thoroughly.

Never take anything for granted.

I've read 78% in some studies, but I think we should round table this with the focus group subcommittee on company culture excellence.
Yes but the big difference is that in the work place most jobs have a probation period of usually one year. During that period if you don't cut it you should be fired... unless the company is a joke.

Look at that 4th and goal. That play sums up everything.

If you open a Mc Donald’s as the CEO. It’s your job to hire, train and build a culture of success.

If you fail to provide your employees with what they need to succeed it’s on you.

If your employees can only execute when they are “SUPER MOTIVATED” it’s on you.

If they aren’t motivated it’s on you.

If failed to support and develop them it’s on you.

If you fail to support and develop your managers it’s on you.

If you hire the wrong managers it’s on you.

Do you guys think that Bama and Clemson get up for everyone game? After all the wins in the last 5 years....noooooo it’s just business. They execute flawlessly and move on.

Edit: Just to clarify I’m not saying the players get a pass. I just view their lack of commitment, desire and focus as a byproduct of a failing Leader in Manny.

LOL I’m blaming all of them, coaches need to motivate and get prepared but players have to study and show the bleep up.

We also swore off a lot of players that never played a meaningful down of football again in their lives. We've been talking about the culture of the program since the Country Club Coker days, perhaps the problem isn't as obvious as you think and maybe, just maybe, not all of our players are Duke Johnson or DeeJay Dallas.

I've seen a lot of players leave here and make money, too...but they also dogged it and didn't give us 60 great minutes every game either. Some of your prime example of money makers would fall under this category.

We've had so many embarrassing losses over the years absolving players is pretty silly at this point. You don't get the garbage we have had ON THE FIELD with just ****ty ADs, apathetic and ignorant board members, and some ****** coaching. Its a total effort with a lot of embarrassing losses, each one seemingly worse than the previous.

Players deserve blame too. No matter how incompetent the coaches are, the players can still show effort. Defense was playing 2 hand touch first qrt.
Want to know why #4 Got no touches? He was jogging on his routes. Did Jarren look focused? He skipped a practice a couple weeks ago and still got the start.
Only a couple dogs on this team.

We called it “Country Club Coker” for a reason. It starts at the top.

Sure.

It starts at the top...but it ends with the product on the field.

All of which - top down - are to blame for the final product.

Blame isn't isolated to anyone, nor should it be shielded from anyone.

Disagree. We are so much more talented then them that we should be able to tell them what play we are running and still get positive yards. This game was a disaster on all fronts
