I know it's pretty far-fetched, but I'd kick the tires with Urban. See if he wants to do a Saban flip (NFL back to the NCAA).

Urban is probably the one guy out there who'd have us back on track from day 1.

Mentioned it before, but Lane Kiffin and Ed O are BFFs. LSU tried throwing O under the bus. My gut feeling is Kiffin would chose another program over LSU if the money was the same.
 
My major issue with Lane, every few years he seems to look for the next job..

when Bama opens up in the near future.. he’ll be advertising him self for the job, regardless where he’s coaching.

Al Folden got recruits here and Shannon one year had the #1 class in the nation.

I follow Ole Miss and if/when Lane leaves Ole Miss it won’t be over money. OM is willing to pay 8 million a season for him plus increase assistant’s salaries.
As far as recruiting, Lane is using the portal to supplement the class. He’s going to bring in 10 plus this offseason.

he got fired after starting 3-2..tenn he got fired after 7-6..they didn’t even let him on the plane..FAU was his best coaching job..Ole miss he went 5-5 year 1..is 8-2 now

You literally said he didn't have back to back winning seasons. What do you call 8-5, 10-2, 7-6? He didn't get fired at UT. They would have kept him forever. Why do you think they hate him so much? Because he left them to go to LA.

In the big 10 you’d rank penn state over OSU? No..UofM? No..Wisconsin? I wouldn’t..when he took over pedo state it wasn’t a top job in that conference. It was mess. He was the hottest commodity after what he did for some years at vandy. But pedo..They will always be 3rd there..he’s a top 10 coach. His resume says that. His resume ***** on lanes..is better than Mario..Mario as recruiter imo those 2 are neck and neck..but as program builder..I’m going with James Franklin. I’m willing to bet anything he’s at the top of USC list and should be 2nd or 3rd for us

Manny and his staff is a sunk cost. Lesson learned by the school, it’s irrelevant at this point

Besides Herman, any legit coach will require some level of buyout

They were planning on bumping up the coaching staff salaries to be more competitive anyways

Let’s use context when throwing out numbers

Only variable is if they wanna pay Mario $7mm or go cheaper in the $5mm to $6mm range

I’m sorry let me clarify that..7-6 is a ******* losing record man at a place like usc/Miami/tenn...8-5 at Miami is unacceptable..starting 3-2 is Losing bruh..those are losing records. And he was doing that at USC right after Pete..then at tenn when they were closer to being a good sec East team compared to now…this man was at 2 top 20 jobs and got unceremoniously fired twice..not to mention that **** show at OAK..the only reason his name was hot and still is comes off him being (perceived) as a good play caller and who his daddy was..and ppl want him to rebuild Miami?? ****K NO..we want a HC who failed at 2 high profile spots now?
 
I was at the Ole Miss game this weekend. My daughter goes there. Place was sold out. It was a **** Rock Concert.

At top 10 coach lmao!!! He has. A losing record to Michigan state...he lost to illinois..as a 24 point fave. He lost to Maryland less than a year ago..as a 27 point favorite. His resume says what? That he is far from an elite coach...
10-9 in last 19 games...that is a fact and not speculation

How many Nattys does he have? Or conference championships? He didn't just get there...he has been there for 8 years.
He is 66-33 at Pedo state...so literally
8-4 record seasons...if you think that is top 10 coach...you lose all credibility man.
Don't try and make an attempt that pedo state isn't a program that doesn't put big money into their team or staff..they have big time resources and many advantages...especially in the Northeast United States.
The dude is a huge choker in big games...and that is a fact...2-10 vs top 10 teams....and then get punked by Maryland and Illinois.

Can u list the long names of NC winning coaches since 2014..it’s not very long btw..so You have to win a natty to be considered a top 10 coach??..bruh name 10 rn whose better and whose resume is better rn..if your name isn’t Saban..Dabo..Kirby..day or that young dude at OU..THEY All have flaws after those guys..Franklin has flaws too. But Dude has 3 11 win szns since 2014 in the big10..2nd toughest division in all of CFB. He has 1 big 10 title since 2014 (2016) ..OSU has 5 in that time span. MSU has the only other 1in that span..so if the standard is he can’t get past OSU..most can’t in the big10 ..plus 2 9 win szns in the sec at ******* Vandy
