Per CFT, while Chryst is presumptive choice, Barry Alvarez is also going to interview Schiano and a yet to be named candidate.

He has the Pitt job .. right now

lol Wisky job I meant. This is what happens when you get three hours of sleep. editing!

No wonder you fell for JgDaCane's insiderism.

Also, nothing here says Chryst to Wisconsin isn't happening, and the primary reporter sticks by his story while also acknowledging Alvarez interviewing 2 other unidentified candidates. Speculate at will.

Maybe the 3rd mystery candidate is the Akron coach? Clearly a superior choice to Chryst or Alfredo. My guess is it's Barry Alvarez though. He probably gets another bonus if he interviews himself.

Probably interviewing Rod Carey, from NIU. That's a pretty good group to choose from for that job, IMO ...

LOL I'll get excited about any news that gives me hope for a new coach if I want to. Thanks for worrying about me. I'll speculate away.

As per elsewhere:

However, Badgers athletic director Barry Alvarez released a statement on Friday that said, "We are continuing the process of finding our new head football coach. We have not offered the position to anyone. In accordance with University of Wisconsin hiring policies, the earliest we could make an offer to a candidate is Wednesday, Dec. 17. Any accepted offer would be contingent upon approval by the UW System Board of Regents."
