Steve Wiltfong takes an "official visit" to Miami

Not to mention the numerous typos and the revelation that Coach Beard is coaching the running backs too smh.
Whatever it takes is the attitude throughout the building. Cristobal’s offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and defensive coordinator Lance Guidry look to be on top of their game. Cristobal and Alex Mirabal are incredibly passionate about offensive line play. NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor and Joe Salave’a coach the defensive line together. Kevin Beard’s receiver room has shown growth every year. Running back coach Kevin Beard, linebackers coach Derek Nicholson, defensive backs coach Chevis Jackson and tight ends coach Cody Woodiel rounds out a coaching staff that has excellent chemistry.

Who gives a ****? We already know he says all the wrong things at all the wrong times. That has been proven.

We still have way too many ****y fans who freak out about every word as if it has irrevocable impact.

Again, what part of "South Florida construction timetables" are people failing to grasp? I'm sure that one dip**** poster will be back to tell us how Coral Gables hasn't approved any permits.
I mean, I agree with you often because often you are right, but I’m not sure this is exactly the same thing when the guy literally says we’re focused on expanding the practice facility and weight room and making sure we have the right resources for the changing economic landscape meaning name, image, and likeness resources. I don’t think that’s the parallel answer to “we are proud member of the ACC conference” AD speak.

I am not saying that they aren’t in fact going to build it, and that the delays you’re talking about aren’t occurring. I am saying, he in his last answer help to put questions about it on there, alongside what people like @DMoney have said.

Dopey Dan!

@TOC is right, btw. Coral Gables and Palm Beach are the two most difficult municipalities to build in the State, possibly the Country.
I agree, but those are two different questions.

It can both be true that building in Coral Gables sucks and delays every single timeline, while at the same time hearing what Dan (and others) had to say understandably putting people into questions about whether or not they are actually planning on executing the first shovel in the ground for the big project the minute they get through the craziness that is Coral Gables.

It’s not like when they were actually talking about when they plan to break ground that they didn’t know that Coral Gables was ****

Yes.

I have tried to tell people that the construction timetable has shifted and will be done in phases.

But you still have a couple of ******* trolls who run around telling us it has secretly been cancelled and there are no plans on file with Coral Gables. Which is not true.

I will make a very simple statement. I have not seen ONE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT at the University of Miami be completed within the promised time frame in 40 years. NOT ONE. Every construction promise has turned into year-long or multi-year delays.

The athletic department construction is no different. Somehow, people on the board start to panic about this nonsense. Welcome to Miami.
most university’s don’t finish projects on time.

Yeah and it’s not even just South Florida. Any construction project ever just add a few years to it minimum and forget about it

That's fair. I also take anything Dan says with a bag of salt...he's a very corporate AD.

Wiltfong hard at work.

Everything on the teardown/replacement of The Towers was delayed too. Which has a domino effect.

Different parts of the university can develop their different building plans. No harm in that. The football project has been approved by Coral Gables. ****, Coral Gables could approve 100 UM projects, but that doesn't mean they will allow them all to be built at the same time.

Let the alums with deep pockets keep making money in the meantime. It does not help us to put $100M in an interest-bearing savings account. Our alums might be able to double that money during the construction delay.

Who has a more talented 3 deep on the offensive side of the ball than us? Or 2 deep. Or even 1 deep for that matter.

All components considered, we have the most talented offense in CFB this year. We've got the #1 QB in CFB. Arguably the best OL (certainly from a pass pro perspective). The only WR core with 3 national award watchlisters and a 4th that will get added to the watchlist mid-season. Likely a top-5 TE group. And we are loaded at RB 5 deep. Nobody else in the country can boast that kind of talent from an offensive perspective.
Ohio State, Texas, LSU

Cam is elite and he makes everything look that much better, especially against an easy early schedule. We aren’t horrible by any means(we are currently very good thanks to the portal) but we are nowhere as good talent wise on offense as you are making it out to be.

People in here see it as a negative that Mario is selling the program to the reporter with the most connections out there on a national scale when it comes to HS recruiting?

I... what?

Forget about stars. Actual production. Nobody is producing at the level that we are. Everybody has played garbage opponents to this point, yet we are outproducing ALL of them.

All that is beside the point thought. The point is that there isn't a defense on our schedule that can scheme to stop our offense and there isn't a defense on our schedule with the talent to stop our offense.

I agree with your entire second paragraph. You are overrating our talent and depth right now. We are a top 10ish team and it’s mainly because of Cam and some high end starters.
