Stats that defined last season

That's not bad considering Rosier's/Perry's non-pressure completion percentage was probably only 55% or so.

I'm Mr. Brightside.

Avg. Defensive starting field position was pretty horrendous. Bottom 5 I think.

That was a special Defense that got wasted all last year...

I think that's what drove Manny to want to leave to Temple after realizing CMR was NEVER going to make any changes on offense going into that bowl game.... I think he always figured he could stick around be coach in waiting and get his dream job.

Another reason why Diaz puts a premium on getting into the backfield. It's not just sacks and tfls. In today's offense-centric college football, pressure is the one great equalizer.
Pressure its important at any level. Whats the only way to beat Tom Brady? I took a day that was slow at work and watched game film on Brady for ours and when you pressure him (specifically interior pressure) he declines as a passer by a tremendous difference. He gets all sloppy, rushes his reads, looks pretty much average.

Absolutely. The key to beating Brady has always been to get pressure up the middle without blitzing too much. That's why I was so confident the Jags would beat them in the NFC champ game last year. I laid the wood on them on the moneyline as a result. Yes, that one stung for a long time.

Love our defense, but they need to improve as well.

BC and Wisconsin running it down our throats early in the game wasn't due to poor field position.

We did make it a habit of starting out slowly on D....

LSU- Opening drive FG & 50 yard TD run, 10 points in the 1st qtr.
UNC- Opening drive FG, 9 first downs, 89 yards rushing, 10 points in the 1st.
FSU- Opening drive TD
BC- Opening drive TD, TD on second drive, 11 first downs, 152 yards passing, 14 points in the 1st.
Duke- Opening play 75 yard TD run.
GT- Opening drive TD, 73 rushing yards, 14 points in the 1st (7 converted on Dallas' KO return fumble).
VT- Opening drive TD.
UW- Opening drive TD, 122 yards rushing, 14 points in the first (7 set up by Rosier gift).

The only 2 P5 teams that didn't score on their opening drive was UVA and Pitt, who ranked 82nd, and 98th in total O last year.

To call the 2018 Miami hurricanes offense Garbage is a giant slap in the face to every trashcan and garbage man in the country

Add in a dogsh!t punter and it’s a wonder we won 7 games

Last year a mediocre offense and STs gets us to 11-1.

I believe Enos will provide at least that this year in year 1. Im expecting 10 wins.
Same situation as 2006. If we had better QB play coupled with not having to use punters and corners at wide receiver, Miami goes 10-2 or 11-1.
