Silver lining I guess

An uptempo stews guy would excite me because we haven’t had that , but a bad hire would assure us of a new hc in a year.

If manny messes up two hires after this season then he hung himself .

Maybe I’m retarded but I can’t help but think they need to full press Bedenbaugh. Brady isnt realistic, the others won’t risk the move Bc Manny (Yost etc) and he has to want to call his own plays. All that along with his recruiting reputation has me thinking that’s gotta be the top target.

Looking at FCS coordinators?

Jesus. The posters on this board are every bit as bad at hiring assistants as Manny is.

Facts aren't on your side. I know we all love the canes but let's be real here. Miami is not going to outbid any of those schools...Since when has the administration ever outbid a large power 5 school for any coach? Last Five 5 head coaches we had were: Coker, Shannon, Golden, Richt, and now this clown. Three out of five were in house coordinators that we promoted, one was a burnt out coach who was terminated at Georgia because he couldn't win big games, and Golden was a coach at a group of five school who never won a bowl game or a conference title and came here with a losing record. Enos was a failed OC at Arkansas and convinced Manny he was some quarterback whisper because he had two five star Heisman finalists. James Coley left FSU because Jimbo wouldn't allow him to call plays. Jedd Fisch was the Seahawks qb coach and Pete Carroll recommended him. Fisch had one year as a coordinator at Minnesota where he was awful. Mark Dnofrio...need I say more. I guess Manny himself was the last coordinator we hired from a power five school but even Manny was fired at Texas as a failed coordinator. You might be able to get Joe Brady....but only as a head coach once Manny's failure is complete. Perhaps Brady could be this program's Lincoln Riley.

Coaching is nomadic by nature. They take jobs looking for ways to catapult themselves forward. They also know and understand being fired is a real possibility every time they move.

We are a P5 team with real talent. There are no shortage of quality coaches out there who’d love this job.

You realize that you switched your argument from the no quality OC because the program is a dumpster fire to we will be outbid. Totally different arguments. Money does talk. We might be able to out spend a few schools. Just a guess. And bringing back the Miami brand on offense is attractive to any competitive person 🙂

no doubt.

and not being willing to spend money for coaches is NOT the problem. anyone who thinks this is a money problem and not a management problem, just hasn't been paying attention.

Do all these cool stats tell us like a war stat? I mean if you have the 27 Yankees, you gonna win. Who did a great job because of a beautiful mind regardless of talent. Do the stats tell us that?

Enos was an offensive assistant and qb coach during his two prior stops. He also bounces around like a pinball. How he got hyped up is a head shaker.
I agree, but he had bama, a hc job, and oc on his resume. People touted that bama wanted him.

I just want an OC who has overachieved at each stop. Be it incarnate world or LSU.

I just want to score 30+ points again.

I'm that desperate
