State of Emergency-NOAA Link in OP

Obviously it will be gone by gameday, but I'm concerned about the possible damage it might cause.

Even if it does scrape the coastline, since we are on the west side we will not get the worst part of the storm, which is the northeast portion.

I'd hate to be in Haiti or the Bahamas right now. It's gonna be baaaad.

Only issue I see is it causing us to have some pretty crappy practices. Weather will be to bad to be outside and get some good reps in. We need to build the indoor practice facilities in record time.

Are you guys nuts?

If that thing hits direct hits as a CAT 4 or 5 the stadium will be gone.

i was on here saying this about 5 days ago...absolutely sucks..im supposed to fly in Thu at 9 am...My wife and I are this close to saying "***** that" and driving in from Texas...my airline hasn't said anything yet but I do not want to flirt with Thursday or Friday flights at all..or Saturday too even. I don't see how they would not be cancelled

I did the drive from San Antonio to Orlando in about 17-18 hours. Just watch out for Houston on the I-10 during certain hours. Also, make sure you go from the I-10 to the I-12 in the middle of Louisiana as it will cut an hour at least off of your time and you avoid New Orleans.

I have a flight Friday into Fort Lauderdale so I'm screwed

+1. Starting to look that way

I think you're fine for Friday to be honest. I'm flying down on Thursday night. I'm really screwed.

Same here. Flying in on Thursday. I change planes in Vegas mid-morning on Thursday. Im preparing for an overnight stay in Vegas just in case the second leg of my flight (LAS - FLL) gets cancelled.

I guess there are worse places to be laid over for a day though. :sneakiness:

They worry about travel as well. If there are anticipated evacuations on east coast they could cancel it.

One more jog left and they'll be postponing the game by tomorrow afternoon. Crazy ****, but it's happened before. Believe 2001 was the last time.

Pretty sure they planned on the stadium being hit by a massive cat 5 storm at some point in the future. I was concerned myself about strong winds lifting that skirt up, but I'm no engineer.

Hurricane MATTHEW

This is the only link you should look at, and as you can see, nothing to see here right now. Just check in on this tomorrow and wednesday, if there is any shift west, then yes be worried, but if not then it is just the same weatherman bs trying to stir up something and give meaning to their jobs

Not looking good now.

Why is that the only link we should look at? I honestly don't know. Thought that was just 1 of many models?

Yep that's why it was worth looking at for any possible shifts, tomorrow or Wednesday after it passed thru Cuba will be interesting if it shifts again

Cus of all the ones they show on tv that section in noaa is the most accurate. Especially if you pay attention to the weather guys. They show all possible tracks to garner interest and intrigue and viewership. That link shows the current and expected track of the eye. Which is all that matters
